Working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you will deliver a broad range of Building Surveying services on high-profile public and private sector projects.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor with post-degree experience who enjoys variety, client engagement, and project delivery. You will be involved in professional surveying services, refurbishment, maintenance, and capital works projects while building strong relationships with clients and supporting junior colleagues.\nWe are looking for someone with strong technical and commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and experience working across both public and private sectors. In return, you'll benefit from diverse and rewarding projects, a supportive team environment, and excellent opportunities to develop your career within a forward-thinking global consultancy.\nYour role\nManage refurbishment, maintenance, and capital improvement projects from feasibility through to completion.\nPrepare project briefs, specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.\nSupport project planning, programming, cost control, and budget management activities.\nMonitor project performance against programme, quality, scope, and financial objectives.\nConduct condition surveys, building inspections, and defect investigations.\nProduce technical reports, including defect analysis and recommendations for remedial works.\nCoordinate contractors, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.\nAdminister construction contracts, including NEC and JCT forms of contract.\nCarry out site inspections, progress reviews, and quality checks to ensure successful project delivery.\nSupport compliance with Building Regulations, CDM requirements, and health and safety legislation.\nAbout you\nDegree qualified in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.\nStudent member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and actively working towards chartership.\nExperience supporting refurbishment, maintenance, or capital works projects.\nGood understanding of building construction, surveying principles, and defect diagnosis.\nKnowledge of Building Regulations, construction legislation, and industry best practice.\nExperience or exposure to NEC and/or JCT contract administration.\nStrong project planning, organisation, and time management skills.\nConfident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.\nStrong report-writing, analytical, and presentation skills.\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.\nExperience working across a range of sectors, including private and public sector projects, would be beneficial.\nKnowledge of digital surveying technologies and tools would be advantageous.\nAn understanding of CDM Principal Designer duties and responsibilities is desirable.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
