This is an embedded position and will require 85% travel throughout the state of Florida.\nYour role\nDeliver classroom and hands-on instruction in CDL Class A driving.\nTeach general transportation construction practices, heavy equipment operation, and jobsite safety protocols.\nDevelop and implement curriculum aligned with OSHA, industry standards, and workforce development goals.\nMonitor trainee progress, track certification hours, and provide individualized coaching and mentorship.\nPrepare trainees for CDL exams through instruction in vehicle systems, mechanics, and pre-trip inspections.\nSupport job placement efforts through coordination with program staff and industry partners.\nAbout you\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, highway construction, or related field.\nHigh school diploma (or equivalent) plus eight years related experience OR an Associates\nDegree in a related technical field plus six years related experience is required.\nValid CDL Class A License with a clean driving record.\nExperience delivering training or mentoring in a workforce development or technical education setting.\nStrong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.\nAbility to operate and instruct on heavy equipment and CDL vehicles.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nExperience with simulator-based training preferred.\nRewards & benefits\nAt AtkinsRéalis, our values-Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, and Excellence-are more than just words.
