The successful candidate will join AtkinsRéalis as part of the Project Procurement and Subcontracts Management team and will be primarily assigned to the CGL (Calgary Green Line) project in Calgary, Alberta. Delivered under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) model, the project requires transparent, accountable and compliant contract administration.\nIn this role, the successful candidate will play a key part in managing contracts for a major infrastructure project, working closely with AtkinsRéalis’ internal teams, the client and external partners. You will provide professional and specialized contract administration services in support of construction activities. You will work closely with project teams and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support contractual and regulatory compliance, adherence to internal processes, and achievement of the project’s objectives.\nYour role\nAdminister assigned subcontracts from award through close-out, in accordance with the Prime Contract, subcontract terms, project procedures and applicable legislation.\nEstablish and maintain contract administration plans, procedures, templates, workflows and registers, including those for correspondence, changes, notices, extensions of time, payments, securities, insurance, deliverables and close-out.\nInterpret contractual requirements, identify obligations and risks, and ensure that notices, submissions, responses and approvals are issued within the required timeframes.\nRaise subcontract commitments and change orders in JD Edwards, record progress claim values, and maintain accurate commercial and payment records.\nPrepare accruals, forecasts, cost reports and subcontract status reports in collaboration with Project Controls and Finance.\nWork closely with project delivery, engineering, construction, quality, safety, completions, finance and legal teams to support effective contract administration and timely resolution of commercial issues.\nSupport negotiations of amendments or departures from standard subcontract terms and obtain approvals in accordance with the Delegation of Authority.\nSupport audits, adjudication, arbitration or litigation by compiling complete and accurate contractual records when required.\nPromote commercial awareness across the project team and contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement of subcontract administration processes.\nAbout you\n7+ years’ experience in Senior Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or Contracts/Procurement Management.\nExperience in large, complex, civil construction projects is essential and experience with electrical, mechanical and trackwork is of benefit.\nProficiency in drafting concise, accurate, professional correspondence including knowledge of relevant safety regulations and quality control processes.\nProficiency in reading and interpreting contract requirements in various contract formats and a strong understanding of the Construction Act and Alberta Law.\nStrong MS and Excel skills and experience in JD Edwards, Aconex and ProCore is an advantage.\nPossess strong commercial acumen with ability to analyze high volumes of information and make judicious and timely commercial decisions.\nStrong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and deliver in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to draft concise, accurate and professional contractual correspondence.\nAvailability to work from downtown Calgary office location.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.\nEnjoy competitive compensation, employee recognition, and a brilliant range of flexible benefits you can tailor to your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle needs.\nMake the most of diverse opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills and expertise.\nAnd take advantage of our hybrid working culture and generous time-off policies to balance a fulfilling career with your personal life.\nBe rewarded.
