Successful candidates may be assigned to regional offices or client sites based on business needs. These positions will operate in a hybrid work environment, requiring a combination of office presence, project site support, and remote work.\nTravel up to 10% may be required to support project execution, negotiations, contractor interfaces, and key milestones. Reporting to the Procurement & Contracts Manager, the Contracts Manager is responsible for developing, negotiating, and administering contracts throughout the project lifecycle.\nYour role\nDevelop and implement project-specific contracting and procurement strategies aligned with project objectives.\nSupport procurement planning, package development, bidder prequalification, and sourcing activities.\nPrepare and administer RFPs, RFQs, bid evaluations, commercial assessments, and award recommendations.\nLead commercial negotiations with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.\nCoordinate internal reviews and approvals in accordance with company governance requirements.\nDraft, negotiate, and finalize construction, consulting, supply, service, and EPCM agreements.\nIdentify contractual and commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.\nEnsure contracts clearly define scope, deliverables, schedule, payment terms, warranties, and performance obligations.\nPartner with project stakeholders and legal counsel to ensure appropriate allocation of project risks.\nAdminister contract changes, including entitlement assessments, change order negotiations, and risk management.\nMonitor contractor performance, compliance, payment milestones, warranties, and deliverables.\nSupport project controls through accruals, forecasting, and cash-flow coordination.\nReview contractor closeout documentation to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.\nParticipate in project meetings with clients and contractors.\nPerform regular site visits (up to three days per week, as required).\nUtilize e-procurement and contract management systems such as SAP and Ariba.\nContribute to continuous improvement of contracting processes and tools.\nAbout you\nBachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Law, Finance, or related discipline.\nMinimum 12 years of experience in contract management, procurement, commercial management, or project services.\nDemonstrated experience supporting major capital projects in mining, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or manufacturing sectors.\nProven experience managing the full contract lifecycle from procurement planning through project closeout.\nExperience leading commercial negotiations and managing complex stakeholder relationships.\nStrong knowledge of commercial contracting, construction contracts, risk management, and contract administration.\nStrong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.\nRewards & benefits\nAt AtkinsRéalis, our values-Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, and Excellence-are more than just words.
