The Contracts Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the project management team on all contractual issues including the review of contract changes and the implementation of effective commercial measures to facilitate the profitable execution of work under contract. The Contract Manager will work pro-actively with the Project team to minimize project liabilities and commercial risks to the Company.\nYour role\nAs a member of the project management team, monitor compliance with contractual obligations and identify potential contract changes or deviations.\nActively lead implementation of claim management processes to resolve unforeseen situations that arise during Project execution, including implementation of claims towards third parties and prevention/defending of incoming claims from third parties.\nMonitor the performance of project partners and subcontractors in the discharge of contractual obligations and advise the project management of potential problems and opportunities.\nSupport or lead in the formulation, negotiation, and execution of change order to contracts, subcontracts and collaboration agreements, including interfacing with Legal support and corporate functions (such as Insurance, Bank Guarantees).\nIdentify and analyse potential commercial risks and liabilities associated with the project.\nWork effectively with other corporate support groups such as legal, finance and risk management.\nFormulate self-consistent and commercially sound terms and conditions for proposals, tenders and bids.\nAssist with close out of contracts, change orders and subcontracts, ensuring that all deliverables and payments have been accepted and received in accordance with contractual requirements.\nAbout you\nA university degree in engineering, finance, law or an MBA with at least 5 to 10 years of experience with contract formulation, negotiation and administration in international or domestic construction or high technology industry, working in joint ventures/consortium agreements in major EPC infrastructure projects or equivalent in experience and education.
