The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support for the assembly, integration, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, refurbishment, and maintenance of automated and robotic tooling used in nuclear refurbishment and field service projects.\nYour role\nSet up, test, and commission automated and robotic tooling.\nAssemble, wire, inspect, and maintain electrical control panels, cable assemblies, machine-control systems, and test equipment.\nTroubleshoot Siemens PLCs, drives, instrumentation, wiring, signals, and associated control-system hardware.\nPerform tooling refurbishment, preventive maintenance, diagnostic testing, and functional testing.\nConfigure mock-ups and test apparatus to support tooling development and qualification.\nSupport PLC, LabVIEW, motion-control, and data-acquisition systems during integration and testing.\nUse multimeters, meggers, ammeters, and other electrical test equipment to diagnose faults and verify performance.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, test procedures, and technical documentation.\nMark up drawings and documents to accurately reflect as-built conditions.\nSupport FAT, DVT, SAT, vendor testing, equipment integration, commissioning, and field-service activities.\nPrepare test reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.\nIdentify and support improvements or modifications to automated and robotic control systems.\nWork collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, vendor, and field-service teams.\nSupport work involving high-voltage equipment and radiological areas using appropriate procedures and safeguards.\nAbout you\nDiploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation and Controls Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or related technical discipline.\nCertificate of Qualification in a relevant electrical trade, or an equivalent combination of technical education and practical experience, is an asset.\nFive to eight years of relevant experience with industrial electrical systems, automated equipment, robotic tooling, commissioning, or field services.\nHands-on experience with control-panel wiring, cable assembly, termination, electrical testing, and equipment troubleshooting.\nExperience with Siemens PLCs, drives, and industrial control-system hardware is an asset.\nExperience with LabVIEW, National Instruments hardware, or data-acquisition systems is an asset.\nIndustrial plant, nuclear, manufacturing, or field-service experience is an asset.\nForklift, crane, rigging, or material-handling experience is an asset.\nFamiliarity with Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, VFDs, and servo-control systems is an asset.\nAbility to interpret and markup engineering drawings and technical documents.\nAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.\nAbility to meet project schedules and work within established cost controls.\nStrong troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving abilities.\nSafety-focused, self-motivated, and accountable for assigned work.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nEffective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nWillingness to travel and support vendor facilities, customer sites, commissioning, and outage activities as required.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.\nEnjoy competitive compensation, employee recognition, and a brilliant range of flexible benefits you can tailor to your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle needs.\nMake the most of diverse opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills and expertise.\nAnd take advantage of our hybrid working culture and generous time-off policies to balance a fulfilling career with your personal life.\nBe rewarded.
