The role ensures that all Fire Fighting and Plumbing works are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, local authority regulations, international standards, and health and safety requirements. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality and compliant mechanical systems including fire suppression networks, fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, water supply networks, drainage systems, sewage treatment interfaces, and plumbing infrastructure.\nYour role\nDesign Review & Technical Coordination\nReview Fire Fighting and Plumbing designs, calculations, specifications, and drawings for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.\nCoordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and utility providers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.\nReview shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, and method statements.\nIdentify design conflicts and provide practical engineering solutions.\nSupport value engineering initiatives and design optimization efforts.\nSite Supervision & Inspection\nInspect installation works related to fire protection and plumbing systems to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.\nMonitor contractor performance and construction progress.\nVerify material installations and workmanship quality.\nConduct routine site inspections and prepare inspection reports and non-conformance reports where required.\nEnsure construction activities meet project quality standards and schedule requirements.\nTesting & Commissioning\nWitness testing and commissioning activities for fire fighting and plumbing systems.\nReview commissioning procedures, test reports, and system performance documentation.\nVerify functionality of fire pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, water supply systems, drainage systems, and related equipment.\nEnsure systems are commissioned in accordance with project requirements and authority regulations.\nSupport handover and project closeout activities.\nStakeholder & Contractor Management\nCoordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and project stakeholders.\nParticipate in technical meetings, progress reviews, and coordination workshops.\nRespond to RFIs and site technical queries.\nProvide engineering recommendations and technical support during project execution.\nAssist project management teams in resolving technical and construction-related issues.\nDocumentation & Compliance\nReview and maintain project documentation including inspection records, technical reports, as-built drawings, and testing records.\nEnsure compliance with project specifications, local authority requirements, and regulatory approvals.\nMonitor implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures.\nSupport authority inspections and approval processes.\nAssist in preparation of final handover documentation.\nHealth, Safety & Quality\nPromote and enforce compliance with project HSE requirements.\nMonitor safe installation and testing practices on site.\nEnsure adherence to quality management systems and project procedures.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and best engineering practices.\nMaintain AtkinsRéalis standards for safety, quality, and technical excellence.\nAbout you\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.\nMaster's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or relevant field preferred.\nExperience\n8+ years of experience in Fire Fighting and Plumbing engineering within engineering consultancy, PMC, contractor, or developer organizations.\nProven experience in the supervision, inspection, design review, testing, and commissioning of Fire Fighting and Plumbing systems for commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, transportation, industrial, or mixed-use developments.\nStrong experience delivering projects within the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, or other GCC markets.\nExperience working on large-scale developments, high-rise buildings, airports, hospitals, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.\nDemonstrated success coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing contractor interfaces.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.\nThis includes:\nTax-free salary.\nLife insurance coverage.\nMedical insurance.\nAnnual leave balance.\nCompany gratuity scheme.\nDiscretionary bonus program.\nAnnual flight contribution.\nTransportation & housing allowances.\nEmployee Wellbeing Program: 24/7 access to specialists in finance, legal matters, familycare, personal health, fitness, and nutrition.\nSeize every opportunity to sharpen your skills, expand your expertise, and be recognized for the impact you make.\nAbout AtkinsRéalis\nWe're AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization.
