The role is critical in reducing time to deploy while providing secure boundaries and guardrails for AtkinsRealis developers in Azure and other cloud deployments\nThe role involves working with service owners to deploy solutions in a global Hub and Spoke Azure environment deployed under Microsoft’s Cloud Architecture Framework using Enterprise Scale Architecture which has been deployed via Infrastructure as Code.\nYour role\nHybrid Cloud \nUnderstand of Azure IaaS, including but not limited to.\nUnderstanding of hosting virtual machines on the Azure platform, including deployment, connectivity, patching, monitoring and images.\nUnderstanding of networking on the Azure platform including Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups and connectivity via S2S VPNs and ExpressRoute.\nUnderstanding of Storage service on the Azure platform including Blob, File, Recovery Vaults and Site recovery.\nExperience of IaaS in another global Hyperscaler (AWS, OCI, GCP) in addition to Microsoft Azure. \nDefine and maintain reference architectures for Cloud and Hybrid environments, platform standards and user guides.\nImprove observability, detection and alerting using built in services to the cloud platform.\nEnforce governance using Policy, management groups, RBAC, and tagging standards.\nExperience of on-premises infrastructure technologies, servers, storage and networking.\nSupport cloud migration and modernization initiatives (on premises to Cloud, hybrid models).\nInfrastructure as Code/DevSecOps\nUnderstanding of Infrastructure as Code, why it’s used and common deployment techniques.\nUsing Azure DevOps to deploy and update Cloud services via Infrastructure as Code.\nCreate new Azure DevOps pipelines and troubleshoot when pipelines fail.\nMentor and upskill team members in the use of Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code.\nPromote automation first, least privilege, and zero trust principles across cloud operations.\nWork closely with security team and application teams to remediate support incidents.\nProvide guidance on best practices including optimizing environments for cost, performance, reliability, and security posture.\nContinuously improve processes, automation, delivery and reporting capabilities.\nContribute to platform roadmaps, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.\nAct as a trusted technical advisor and mentor to infrastructure and application teams.\nEnsure environments meet internal security standards and regulatory obligations.\nAbout you\n5+ years of experience in Azure infrastructure, with at least 2 years involved with Infrastructure as code. \nDemonstrated experience with Cloud Architecture Framework/Azure Enterprise Scale/Landing zones.\n2+ years of Azure DevOps experience, working with versioning, code control and deployment pipelines.\nProficiency with PowerShell Azure Cmdlets and/or Azure CLI. \nExperience of on-premises technologies, virtual machines, storage solutions\nExperience of Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2019+) \nExperience of other Global HyperScalers in addition to Microsoft Azure\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n Microsoft Azure certifications: Azure Fundamentals\n Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.\nFamiliarity with ITIL, security frameworks, or enterprise service delivery models. \nMicrosoft Azure Bicep/AWS CloudFormation deployments\nCloud based Virtual WAN knowledge beneficial \nCloud Application Gateway and Web Application Firewall including OWASP rules\n Experience of PaaS solutions in addition to IaaS\nExperience of working in a Macro/Micro segmentation environment\n Relevant certifications or suitable demonstrable experience is highly desirable.\n Experience of Linux operating systems (Redhat, Oracle)\n Experience of High-Performance Computing\nCloud based qualifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert\nExperience of Azure Power Platform and integration with Azure Hosting\nExperience to container platforms \nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.\nThis includes:\nComprehensive life insurance coverage.\nPremium medical insurance for you and your dependents.\nGenerous annual leave balance.\nFlexible and hybrid work solutions.\nRemote work opportunities outside of country.\nCompany gratuity scheme.\nDiscretionary bonus program.\nRelocation assistance.\nEmployee Wellbeing Program: 24/7 access to specialists in finance, legal matters, family care, personal health, fitness, and nutrition.\nSeize every opportunity to sharpen your skills, expand your expertise, and be recognized for the impact you make.\nAbout AtkinsRéalis\nWe're AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization.
