We are undertaking an increasing number and range of important and exciting projects that involve groundwater resource evaluation, determining 'zone of contribution', and assessing the Environmental impacts on groundwater of new infrastructure. We are working for Group Water Schemes, Uisce Éireann, EirGrid, daa and government regulators. Building on this success, we are growing our team, and this growth could include you. You could help us to win and deliver work across our extensive client portfolio and enhance our reputation for excellence.\nAs an already experienced, and ideally chartered, hydrogeologist, you will have led and delivered groundwater related project tasks in Ireland, the UK and/or internationally. You will work closely with our technical specialists who are based in our established teams across Ireland and the UK. We have a friendly and approachable team with a strong reputation for delivering excellence with multiple clients.\nYour role\nWin, deliver and manage a portfolio of hydrogeology projects.\nDevelop trusted client relationships.\nChampion high standards of performance, and influence project development.\nUndertake work to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and quality.\nUndertake and delegate complex problem solving, data gathering, processing, calculations, modelling and conceptualisation.\nWrite high quality reports and impact assessment.\nUndertake proposal writing and costing.\nWork closely with other hydrogeologists, sometimes delegating to, reviewing the work of and mentoring more junior staff.\nWork collaboratively with other technical disciplines.\nAbout you\nA degree in science, engineering or mathematics.\nRelevant years of work experience.\nDemonstrable experience within consultancy, water company, regulator or academic fields.\nExperience of water resources / hydrogeology.\nUnderstanding links between surface and groundwater, abstraction, flooding and low flows.\nKnowledge of the Water Framework Directive.\nExperience of assessing and managing groundwater quality issues.\nExperience of contaminated land and relation to groundwater.\nExperience of preparing hydrogeology sections for EIAR Water Chapters.\nExperience of WFD screening, scoping and assessment reports.\nKnowledge of the operational and environmental regulatory framework of water management in Ireland.\nA good understanding of hydrogeology, groundwater and aquifers, and in particular the karstic systems, common in Ireland.\nYou will have valid full, clean Irish driving licence.\nDesirable skills\nChartered or on the way to getting Chartered.\nExperience of determining Zone of Contribution.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
