The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience managing complex infrastructure operations within large-scale transportation or public infrastructure environments.\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:\nLead and oversee the operation, maintenance, and lifecycle management of the Riyadh Bus Project's Data Center and Telecom infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and operational excellence.\nAct as the Owner's representative for all IT and Telecom operational matters, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project requirements, and industry best practices.\nManage, supervise, and provide technical direction to the IT and Telecom Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Contractor, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nLead a multidisciplinary team of specialists, engineers, inspectors, and technical experts responsible for monitoring and auditing the performance of IT and Telecom assets and associated maintenance activities.\nEstablish and implement performance management frameworks, monitoring tools, KPI dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to measure contractor effectiveness and system performance.\nEnsure proactive maintenance strategies are implemented to maximize system availability, minimize downtime, and improve asset reliability.\nMonitor and manage telecom systems, including fiber optic networks, communication infrastructure, WAN/LAN networks, wireless systems, CCTV, passenger information systems, and other operational technologies supporting public transport services.\nOversee Data Center operations, including servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and network infrastructure.\nEnsure compliance with all applicable cybersecurity regulations, standards, and policies within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including risk management, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and security audits.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and government authorities to ensure seamless operation and integration of IT and Telecom systems.\nReview and approve maintenance plans, technical reports, operational procedures, and asset management documentation.\nIdentify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and uninterrupted transport services.\nSupport future technology upgrades, system enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives across the project.\nQualifications and Education :\nBachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.\nProfessional certifications in Data Center Management, Telecommunications, Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, or Project Management are considered a strong advantage.\nMinimum 15 years of progressive experience in the design, operation, maintenance, and management of Data Centers and Telecom Infrastructure within large and complex environments.\nDemonstrated experience managing major infrastructure, transportation, smart city, or public-sector projects.\nStrong understanding of Data Center technologies, network architectures, telecom systems, and operational support environments.\nSound knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and compliance requirements applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.\nExperience within public transportation, metro, bus, rail, airport, or similar transit projects is highly desirable.\n\nMandatory Skills and Competencies:\nStrong contract and vendor management experience, including performance monitoring and enforcement of contractual obligations.\nProven leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven decision-making approach.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.\nAbility to establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics.\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.\nStrong knowledge of asset management and maintenance best practices.\nEffective risk management and business continuity planning capabilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nArabic language proficiency would be considered an added advantage.\nPreferred Experience :\nExperience in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Metro, Rail, Smart Mobility, or Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).\nFamiliarity with international standards and best practices related to Data Centers, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, and Public Transport Infrastructure.\nWorker Type\nEmployeeJob Type\nRegularAt AtkinsRéalis, we seek to hire individuals with diverse characteristics, backgrounds and perspectives.
