We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.\nLocation - Mississauga, ON\nCandu Energy Inc. is looking to hire a Licensing Engineer for a full-time regular position. This role will provide support to all licensing activities, including interfacing with all engineering disciplines, for a new build Nuclear Power Plant project within a matrix organization. This position reports to the Licensing Manager.\nYour role\nThe Licensing Engineer will provide guidance to designers and analysts on implementing and addressing regulatory requirements and support the development, review and issue of Preliminary Safety Analysis Report (PSAR) Chapters. The Licensing Engineer will support all interfacing engineering disciplines by providing guidance, performing licensing reviews and in addressing regulatory feedback.\nThis includes:\nCommunicate to designers and analysts regulatory staff expectations and feedback.\nProduce licensing deliverables, as required.\nProvide support to all PSAR preparation.\nDevelop procedures, writing guidelines in support of the PSAR.\nProvide licensing review of assigned sections/chapters.\nDevelop licensing documentations in support to PSAR as required.\nPreparing, proposing, updating and coordinating licensing strategies (e.g., by reports and communications).\nPreparing and providing Licensing information sessions/seminars and guidance.\nDevelop and provide support in responses to customer’s requests for additional information and comments.\nCoordinate interaction with Client on Licensing matters.\nInterface and coordinate with designers and analysts on specific focus topics in support of addressing regulatory feedback.\nCoordination and licensing review of documents and responses to comments.\nPreparation, review, and verification, as required, of formal correspondence to external customers.\nAbout you\n3+ years of licensing experience in a nuclear project environment.\nThorough knowledge of the Codes and Standards used in NPP licensing in Canada, the USA, and the EU.\nThorough understanding of the Canadian nuclear licensing regulations.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAdditional, preferred qualifications:\nEngineering degree in a related engineering discipline.\nRegistered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.\nExperience working in a nuclear facility licensed in Canada, highly preferable.\n Appropriate accommodations will be provided upon request throughout the recruitment and hiring process as required by Company policy and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).\nSuccessful applicants will be notified about SNC-Lavalin’s accommodation policies at the time the employment offer is extended, and the information will be shared with new personnel during the onboarding process.\n\nWhy choose AtkinsRéalis?\nWherever you are in your career, AtkinsRéalis is for you.
