This role will support the delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership, design assurance and engineering expertise across the full project lifecycle. You will work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, safe and sustainable solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.\nYour role\nProvide technical assurance and review Rail Systems M&E designs to ensure compliance with client requirements, railway standards and industry best practice. \nLead the engineering and technical delivery of complex rail systems projects from concept through to construction and commissioning.\nChallenge and improve design and contractor proposals to deliver safe, efficient and value-driven solutions. \nCoordinate multidisciplinary design activities across signalling, power, communications, M&E and systems integration disciplines. \nManage technical interfaces and ensure effective integration across multiple work packages and project stakeholders. \nSupport engineering reviews, technical approvals and assurance processes to achieve successful project outcomes. \nCollaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers and regulatory bodies to develop practical and innovative solutions. \nDrive continuous improvement, innovation and technical excellence across rail systems project delivery\nAbout you\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline. \nProven experience delivering complex Rail Systems and M&E projects within the rail infrastructure sector. \nStrong understanding of systems integration and multidisciplinary project delivery. \nKnowledge of Network Rail standards, railway assurance processes and relevant UK regulations. \nExperience managing technical interfaces across signalling, communications, power and M&E disciplines. \nExcellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills. \nMembership of a relevant professional institution such as IET, IRSE, IMechE or ICE, or working towards professional registration. \nA proactive and collaborative approach with a commitment to innovation, safety and engineering excellence. \nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
