The department is responsible for digital system design, equipment selection and procurement, and all software activities.\nYour role\nResponsible for prime technical and commercial interface with the client and internal engineering and commercial groups on projects of substantial scale and complexity.\nParticipate in conceptual design of safety/control systems to define system requirements, computer system architecture/design, product /tool technologies and evaluate system performance and reliability.\nEvaluate computer vendor products and prepare procedures/guides for implementing such products into computer software design, development and V&V processes.\nManage assigned work effectively, including prioritizing, executing, managing schedule and budget and reporting to meet project goals\nPreparation of system/software change request for modifications to existing systems/software\nPrepare requirements and develop tools for test/development systems as needed for production of safety critical software\nExecute software engineering tasks including software requirements specification, software design description, coding, verification, testing and documentation\nAsist in planning activities associated with design, verification and testing of computerized safety/control systems\nDevelop software and scripts using a variety of programming languages/toolsets/environments including, but not limited to IEC61131-3 languages, C C++ Visual Studio, Labview, XML.\nTest script development using in-house developed scripting languages for software/system V&V testing\nUpdate and/or prepare computer engineering design documents including SRS/SDD and software manuals\nInterface with various engineering disciplines, suppliers, and other divisions within the company\nAbout you\nHonours degree in a relevant field of engineering from a university of recognized standing.
