We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology.\nYour role\nProvide design solutions and assessments for new, updated and modified process systems, structures and components.\nPrepare and/or review design documents for Nuclear Power Plants; e.g., Design Calculation, Design Requirements, Assessments, Technical Specifications, Drawings, Bill of Materials, and System Code Classification;\nPerform thermal hydraulic evaluations on complex systems.\nPrepare and/or review Engineering Quotation Request and Tender Technical Evaluations.\nPrepare and/or review Engineering packages.\nPerform walkdowns, attend site visits and meetings as required.\nEnsure applicable code, standards and regulatory requirements are met.\nEnsure adherence to company quality program.\nEnsure adherence to project delivery requirements and schedule.\nSupport Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress.\nInterface with internal and external stake holders as required.\nAbout you\nEngineering degree from an accredited University in Chemical, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Engineering Science.\nRegistered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.\nA minimum of 7 years of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably providing design solutions for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.\nExperience performing heat balance and thermal hydraulic evaluations.\nExperience in process system design and layout.\nSite experience in construction, or commissioning of plant mechanical systems for nuclear or other heavy industries is an asset.\nExperience performing work to nuclear power plants procedures and practices and qualifications for nuclear power plants engineering activities is an asset.\nWorking knowledge of/experience with CSA B51 standard, ASME Section III, ASME B31.1 codes.\nWorking knowledge of/experience using nuclear Codes and Standards or regulatory guides, including CSA N285.0 is an asset.\nKnowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design (e.g. ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA or similar).\nMust have excellent communication and technical writing skills.\nDemonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.\nEnjoy competitive compensation, employee recognition, and a brilliant range of flexible benefits you can tailor to your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle needs.\nMake the most of diverse opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills and expertise.\nAnd take advantage of our hybrid working culture and generous time-off policies to balance a fulfilling career with your personal life.\nBe rewarded.
