The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial results, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project outcomes.\nThis is a 12-month contract position with strong potential to transition into a permanent role based on business needs and individual performance.\nYour role\nProject Accountant supporting a major contributor project(s) or a portfolio of projects.\nPreparation of Monthly Project Reporting and Analysis on Revenue, Gross Margin, Cash Flow & Bookings/Backlog.\nEnsure Accounts Receivable and Work in Progress are current and follow up on any overdue or outstanding amounts.\nAssist with preparation of Project Forecasts, Budgets and Estimates.\nPrepare monthly Revenue Recognition and Accrual entries, in line with IFRS 15.\nPrepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations/Entries.\nReview and process Project Changes/Reforecasts and ensure they are accurately reflected in the Oracle System.\nEnsure all month end entries/reporting deadlines set out by Business Unit or Corporate are met.\nMaintain good communication with relevant Project Stakeholders including Project Controls, Procurement, Project Management and Finance/Shared Services.\nEnsure Letters of credit and other guarantees are in place and meet contractual obligations.\nPerform Ad-hoc reporting requests, as required.\nContribute to team Process Improvement initiatives.\nAbout you\nBachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.\nCPA designation (or progress toward completion) is considered a strong asset.\nMinimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, project accounting, or a related financial role.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Excel; experience with financial systems and ERP platforms is an asset.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.\nAbility to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nSelf-motivated team player with a continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process enhancement.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.\nEnjoy competitive compensation, employee recognition, and a brilliant range of flexible benefits you can tailor to your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle needs.\nMake the most of diverse opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills and expertise.\nAnd take advantage of our hybrid working culture and generous time-off policies to balance a fulfilling career with your personal life.\nBe rewarded.
