Our portfolio of structured training will help you expand your career in line with your aspirations.\nYour role\nYou will act as the link between the Project Management, Commercial, Financial and Contract Management teams and provide the co-ordination to allow these teams to operate cohesively and consistently.\n\nYou will play a key role in executing and improving all project management processes to ensure robust and efficient project delivery to a strict timetable.\n\nPerforming and delivering allocated project tasks, as directed by your Project or Contract Manager or Project Controls Lead.\n\nActing as liaison between different teams within AtkinsRéalis.\n\nSpecific responsibilities to include\nTracking project costs and producing finance reports.\n\nEnsuring accurate and timely invoicing is carried out.\n\nMaintaining databases, spreadsheets and dashboards as directed by your Project or Contract Manager, for the purposes of project control.\n\nPrompting Project Managers / Project Directors for timely inputs to the finance reports and the project management reports.\n\nEnsuring compliance on aspects of financial and commercial processes, including pipeline management and Stage Gates, as per AtkinsRéalis processes (full training to be provided).\n\nWorking with junior members of the team, sometimes in a supervisory capacity.\n\nPreparing document templates to a professional standard.\n\nAttend monthly reviews and other meetings as required.\n\nAbout you\nUnderstanding of Project Control and Project Management principles for programmes.\n\nUnderstanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver to deadlines.\n\nThe ability to build strong relationships and support colleagues, displaying enthusiasm and a drive to grow, learn and develop within our organisation.\n\nEssential\nAbility to work independently and to prioritise tasks.\n\nSound Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Power BI would also be an advantage.\n\nExcellent communication and numeracy skills.\n\nAbility to show initiative to look for solutions to problems.\n\nGood interpersonal skills with the ability to converse with a wide range of clients and colleagues across a number of disciplines.\n\nA willingness to work flexibly from other office locations as required.\n\nDesirable\nExperience of working within the transportation consultancy industry for key clients, e.g. Local Authorities, Highways England, Network Rail, Developers and/or major Contractors.\n\nPrevious experience of working in a project support role, supporting a project manager/director or team.\n\nClient engagement experience.\n\nExperience of working with remote teams to deliver common goals.\n\nKnowledge of planning and scheduling softwares such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project - not essential, but an advantage.\n\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
