Risk analysis, project forecasting, and liaising with EPC contractors and subcontractors are daily occurrences in this position. The Project Coordinator directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering and construction requirements within the scope of a specified project.\nYour role\nResponsible for the development and management of detailed plans such as preparation of Comprehensive Work Packages (CWPs), Construction Inspection Test Plans (CITPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Work Orders, Quality Forms, Safe Work Plans, Series Equipment Lists, Waste Minimization Management Plans and Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) Plans.\n\nResponsible for revising and maintaining accurate revision control of CWPs, CITPs and WIs following Project Quality procedures in the field during series execution.\n\nCoordinate with key stakeholders as required including engineering, construction, quality, subcontractors and customer to ensure that project documents are prepared with safety in mind in accordance with construction codes, standards and technical specifications.\n\nRead and analyze reactor installation drawings, tool general assembly drawings, as well as codes and technical specification documents related to the assigned projects.\n\nAid with trade and quality staff training during the training phase of the project.\n\nOversee and coordinate execution of CWPs/CITPs at site and provide guidance to construction and quality teams as required, including leading problem-solving efforts and development of adverse condition recovery plans.\n\nAid with retube tool testing, tool modifications, tool calibrations, as well as tool commissioning.\n\nAid with tool transition in and out planning.\n\nCoordinate with construction supervision, engineering, and quality control to determine efficiencies in series and implement appropriate solutions.\n\nProvide status and progress reports of project milestones and adjustments to schedules in support of the Area Manager and Construction.\n\nWork shift schedules to support critical path activities at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station (PNGS) and directly support work during the execution phase.\n\nTrack shift progress and log completion times, work completion status, tooling issues, tool status, and delays. Provide detailed shift reports that summarize key metrics and activities completed and distribute them to stakeholders.\n\nResponsible for ensuring that all work is planned safely in compliance with safety, quality and human performance policies.\n\nEnsure a strong nuclear safety culture is reinforced continuously.\n\nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nProject Coordinator.\n\nFiscal Responsibility:\nProject forecasting, budgeting and tracking.\n\nFiscal responsibility as required by the JV agreement.\n\nExtent of Public Contact:\nOther Aecon Group employees.\n\nJoint Venture and project partners.\n\nClients and customers.\n\nVendors and subcontractors.\n\nVarious licensing agencies and regulatory authorities.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nVarious work locations in both field and office.\n\nTravel as necessary.\n\nRadiological environments.\n\nWork in respirator and plastics (as required).\n\nWork at heights (as required).\n\nShift work (as required).\n\nAbout you\nUniversity Degree or College Diploma or related experience.\n\nDegree in Engineering considered an asset.\n\n3-5 years of industrial construction experience.\n\nAdvanced skills using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Project.\n\nExcellent analytical and organizational skills.\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills.\n\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\n\nOther Qualifications:\nDue to the nature of work conducted by Aecon, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.\n\nOur background check process includes a full security check and clearance process as well as reference checks.
