The Project Engineering Manager - Process is responsible for guiding a group of Process Systems engineers and designers. Project Engineering Manager - Process oversees the execution of design and technical activities in a project delivery environment in accordance with industry standards and established governance.\nLocation: Bucharest, Romania\nYour role\nManaging the design process from concept, preliminary to detailed design.\nPlanning and executing work consistent with quality, cost, and schedule requirements.\nCoordinating and oversight of Process Engineering activities related to the completion of fundamental design for a nuclear power plant.\nCoordinating the design interface between the Nuclear Steam Plant (NSP) and Balance of Plant (BOP) portions of a nuclear power plant.\nWorking with assigned staff to find optimal solutions to project challenges.\nProviding technical guidance to staff, as appropriate.\nEnsuring that work is conducted in accordance with applicable Engineering and Quality Assurance procedures, and in accordance with the contract, applicable specifications, and technical requirements.\nInterfacing with stakeholders, including Engineering peers, Procurement, Construction representatives, and prospective equipment and/or system vendors, to ensure system designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements, and that the resulting designs are constructable, operable, and maintainable.\nEnsuring department deliverables are produced in accordance with budget, schedule, quality, and technical requirements.\nApproving engineering documents and deliverables.\nRemoving barriers that could impact quality, cost, and schedule performance.\nParticipating in the preparation of commercial proposals and approving the technical content of proposals prepared under their direction.\nForecasting resource demands for the assigned work scope, including required skills, capabilities, and durations.\nWorking with marketing and other business groups to maintain and improve client relationships and offerings.\nAbout you\nThe ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications and skills:\nBachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or a related field from an accredited University.\nAdvanced degrees and professional engineering credentials are considered an asset.\n10 years of process system evaluation and design\n5 years nuclear and/or CANDU technology experience is an asset.\n5 or more years of experience leading engineering teams.\nExperience managing engineering work with significant interfacing requirements with other engineering teams including Licensing, Safety Analysis, Civil / Structural, piping, and Electrical/I&C, etc.\nExperience working within a Quality Management System (CSA N286), and quality standards (CSA N299) are considered as an asset.\nGood working knowledge of applicable nuclear engineering codes, standards, and regulations, including IEC, IEEE, CSA, European (EN) standards, and nuclear industry standards.\nExperience in process system design and layout.\nExperience performing heat balance and thermal hydraulic evaluations.\nKnowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design (e.g., ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA or similar) is an asset.\nProven track record of performance in a multidiscipline, dynamic, project delivery environment.\nExperience working in a nuclear facility licensed in Canada is an
