This is an entry-level position and is based out of Los Angeles, CA.\nUnder direct supervision, supports the delivery of engineering projects by applying foundational engineering principles to design, analysis, investigation, and project execution activities. In addition to technical assignments, the role provides significant support in process improvement, team operations, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities. The position helps improve project delivery efficiency through development of workflows, tools, procedures, and management systems while building technical and professional experience.\nYour Role\nProcess Improvement & Team Operations:\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across project and team operations.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve workflows, templates, checklists, tracking tools, and standard operating procedures.\nAssist with implementation of project delivery best practices and quality management processes.\nEvaluate existing work processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, communication, and knowledge sharing.\nMaintain team knowledge repositories, lessons learned, reference materials, and project management tools.\nSupport development of dashboards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms used for project and operational decision-making.\nAssist supervisors and project managers in implementing process improvements across multiple projects and workstreams.\nSupport adoption of digital tools, automation solutions, and collaboration platforms that improve team performance.\nDesign, Analysis & Technical Execution:\nApply standard engineering practices and techniques to support design and technical deliverables.\nDevelop engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and other technical deliverables under the guidance of more experienced engineers.\nPrepare assigned sections of technical reports, documentation, and graphical presentations under review.\nPerform routine engineering calculations and data analysis using established methods and tools.\nSupport engineering investigations and planning activities by collecting, compiling, and analyzing relevant data.\nEvaluate defined alternatives and contribute to feasibility assessments of engineering solutions.\nResearch site conditions, regulatory requirements, and design considerations to inform project work.\nProject Planning & Delivery:\nDevelop materials to support permit applications and project documentation, including data collection and organization.\nParticipate in construction-related activities including observations, documentation, and progress tracking.\nSupport project managers and team leads by tracking project actions, deliverables, schedules, and follow-up items.\nAssist with preparation of meeting materials, status reports, project dashboards, and coordination documents.\nSupport development and maintenance of team procedures, templates, workflows, and other tools that improve project delivery efficiency.\nAssist with project and team administrative activities, including document management, meeting coordination, and maintaining project records.\nQuality, Compliance & Risk Management:\nReview shop drawings for general conformance with specifications under guidance from senior professionals.\nSupport quality control processes and ensure engineering work products comply with project requirements, standards, and established procedures.\nConduct field observations to gain understanding of construction methods and project execution.\nCollaboration, Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:\nPartner with technical professionals, managers, and project teams to complete assigned work.\nCoordinate with technicians or other support roles on specific tasks or deliverables as assigned.\n Interact with internal stakeholders and, as appropriate, external parties such as clients, regulatory contacts, suppliers, and subcontractors.\n Support communications between project teams, clients, and company leadership by preparing meeting materials, presentations, summaries, and follow-up documentation.\nAssist supervisors and project managers with coordination of team activities, resource planning efforts, and management reporting requirements.\nPerform related duties that support business, project, or operating unit objectives, \nAbout You\nEXPERIENCE: 0-2 years of related professional experience.\n\nEDUCATION:Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.\n\nSPECIAL SKILLS:Project coordination and organizational skills.\nEffective verbal and written communication.\n\nPROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.\nRewards & benefits\nAt AtkinsRéalis, our values-Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, and Excellence-are more than just words.
