Grid compliance studies for Offshore Wind projects, Solar, BESS and Hybrid projects. Steady state and Dynamic power flow analysis.\nFault Ride Through studies. Short circuit calculation.\nPower quality analysis. Electro Magnetic Transient Analysis (EMTP) such as Switching and Lightning transient studies, Energization studies etc. Dynamic simulation of networks involving HVDC, FACTS and inverter-based generation.\nThe Candidate should be able to carry out the following:\nGrid Code compliance (UK Grid code/EREC).\nLoad Flow and Voltage regulation study.\nShort Circuit study.\nProtection study.\nHarmonics study.\nRMS Dynamic Stability (in PowerFactory and PSS/E) - Fault Ride-Through (FRT) - Dynamic Voltage support, Active Power Frequency response - Dynamic Reactive Power control.\nSwitching Transients and Insulation Coordination.\nTransient Fast Converter Dynamics and Control Interactions.\nSpecial System Transient Events - Fault Ride-Through (FRT) - Black Start and Energization.\nAnalyse study results and recommend solutions and able to discuss with our Clients.\nPrepare study reports and other technical documentation.\nRespond to request for proposals (RFP) by preparing proposals and estimation of man-hours.\nMentoring junior staffs and able to provide training on subject of expertise.\nDeliver training courses on subject of expertise.\nLead and carry out consulting, research and development study projects.\nConceptualization ability, interpersonal communication and organizational skills are a must, including the capability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams.\nAbout you\nMasters / bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, with relevant industrial experience.\nChartered Engineer - IET Member - Or in an accredited scheme to become Chartered Engineer\nComprehensive experience in studies for Offshore Wind projects at Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design stages, with at least 4 years dedicated to major offshore wind project.\nExpertise in system study software such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, including the development of software scrips.\nDesirable Requirements\nKnowledge of PSSE, MATLAB / Simulink and any other system study software.\nCompetency in Python coding.\nExperience of working on Traction simulation studies.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
