Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Design Engineering Intern to join our Novi, MI office.
Your role
- Gathers, logs and summarizes field notes or other data to be used by technicians or professionals in technical studies or projects.
- Establishes and maintains records or files of technical data or documents.
- Performs mathematical calculations.
- Performs various routine tasks in Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
- Assists in the preparation of graphic displays and presentation materials.
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary
About you
- EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelor's degree program.
- EDUCATION: Must have completed 50 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Basic understanding of transportation engineering principles and design.
- Computation, math skills and drafting/CAD ability are generally required.
- Computer skills required to enter data and information in spreadsheets or databases.
- Preference to applicants who have CAD/OpenRoads Designer experience.

Additional information
Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourlydepending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
