To support the expansion of our project portfolio and meet the growing demand for our engineering and advisory services, we are expanding our national team.\nWe deliver projects for municipalities, public and parapublic organizations, industrial and mining clients, as well as First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities across Canada, including urban, northern, remote and environmentally sensitive regions.\nFlexible Location: We are open to candidates based in various regions across Canada, (BC, AB, ON, NB), offering flexibility while supporting collaboration with our national team.\nYour role\nLead feasibility studies, concepts, design bases, material balances and alternatives analyses.\nLead preliminary and detailed design for landfills, depots, transfer and sorting facilities. (composting platforms, as required)\nDevelop design criteria, assumptions, calculations, technical specifications, estimates and tender documents.\nIntegrate civil, mechanical, electrical, process, environmental, operations, health and safety, and constructability inputs.\nLead technical reviews, independent checks and quality control for calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.\nSupport permitting and demonstrate that proposed solutions meet applicable requirements.\nProvide tender, construction, shop-drawing, change-management and commissioning support.\nAdvise clients on technologies, risks, life-cycle costs and operational feasibility.\nMentor engineers and technologists and promote consistent design practices.\nContribute to proposals, effort estimates, client presentations and business development.\nAbout you\nBachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, chemical, environmental or related engineering; a master’s degree is an asset.\nProfessional Engineer in good standing in Canada;\n15 to 25 years of relevant experience designing solid waste or environmental infrastructure.\nDemonstrated experience preparing and reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications, estimates and contract documents.\nPractical knowledge across multiple waste streams and the ability to integrate operational constraints.\nExperience with municipal, public, parapublic, industrial or mining clients; northern, remote or Indigenous-community experience is an asset.\nTechnical leadership, sound professional judgment, rigor, autonomy and excellent writing skills.\nAbility to coordinate several disciplines and communicate clearly with clients, regulators and project teams.\nBilingual French and English*; available for occasional travel in Canada.\n* English is required to collaborate with teams and clients located outside Quebec.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.\nEnjoy competitive compensation, employee recognition, and a brilliant range of flexible benefits you can tailor to your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle needs.\nMake the most of diverse opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills and expertise.\nAnd take advantage of our hybrid working culture and generous time-off policies to balance a fulfilling career with your personal life.\nBe rewarded.
