This will involve the full design lifecycle, from supporting bids and business development activities through to network design, implementation support, testing, commissioning and representing the client's interests throughout project delivery.\nAs a Senior ICT Network Engineer, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects, supporting capability growth and contributing to the development of colleagues through mentoring, coaching and technical leadership.\nThe role may occasionally require travel to other UK mainland locations, including overnight stays, and there are opportunities for overseas work.\nApplicants may be required to undergo security vetting, and any offer of employment will be subject to the appropriate level of clearance being granted.\nYour role\nLeading the development of active network designs, architectures, technical specifications and design documentation.\nDesigning enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and network security solutions.\nDeveloping secure, resilient and scalable network infrastructures aligned to client requirements.\nLeading technical work packages and supporting project delivery activities.\nProducing and reviewing technical documentation, reports, strategies and specifications.\nSupporting implementation planning, migration activities, testing and commissioning.\nProviding technical leadership, mentoring and support to engineers and technicians.\nSupporting business development activities including proposals, PQQs and ITTs.\nAbout you\nTechnical Competencies\nExperience leading technical work packages and design activities.\nExperience of ICT network design and delivery.\nKnowledge of enterprise LAN, WAN and WLAN technologies.\nKnowledge of routing, switching and network security principles.\nUnderstanding of network monitoring and management systems.\nAbility to prepare technical documentation, reports and presentations.\nCompetent in Microsoft Office applications.\nDesirable Attributes\nCisco, Juniper, Aruba or equivalent certifications.\nDefence, Government or Nuclear sector experience.\nKnowledge of MoD ICT standards and guidance.\nExperience of RIBA stages of design.\nPrince2, APM or equivalent qualification.\nBehavioural Competencies\nAchievement - Delivers high-quality outputs and meets commitments.\nCommunication - Builds effective relationships through clear verbal and written communication.\nCustomer Focus - Provides excellent service to clients and stakeholders.\nInitiative - Applies sound judgement and develops practical solutions.\nTeamwork - Collaborates effectively within multidisciplinary teams.\nFlexibility - Adapts to changing priorities and project requirements.\nQHSE - Demonstrates commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
