  • Experience working in regulated or safety-critical industries (nuclear preferred) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience interpreting NDE results, inspection reports, and laboratory test data to support manufacturing and engineering decisions.
  • Working knowledge of CSA N285 series, ASME BPV Code Sections II, III, V, and IX, and other applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements related to nuclear and pressure equipment manufacturing.
  • Direct manufacturing experience with ASME Section III or Section VIII components is required, preferably involving nuclear product fabrication.
  • Strong working knowledge of welding engineering and manufacturing practices, including welding processes, procedure and welder qualification, weld metallurgy, heat-affected zone behavior, and fabrication-related defects.
  • Familiar with metallurgical laboratory techniques for examination of microstructure and properties of metals (carbon steel, stainless steel) and welds of the materials.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing- and welding-related degradation mechanisms, including fatigue, corrosion, cracking, and service-induced damage.
