The role provides subject matter expertise on general software and drives continuous improvement, partnering closely with the Application Portfolio, Lifecycle and Delivery teams as well as Procurement, Security and Business Partners.\nYour role\nManage the full software asset lifecycle, including requests, licence validation/checks, deployments, consumption analysis, optimisation and renewals.\nLead a specialised work group, distributing work activities and serving as the escalation point for Licence related questions and issues.\nOversee the allocation and prioritisation of software asset management tickets across the team, proactively following up on progress, removing blockers, and ensuring timely resolution in line with service level agreements and team objectives.\nAnalyse software deployments and consumption to identify optimisation opportunities and cost savings.\nProvide subject matter expertise on software applications and licensing to support contract negotiations and purchasing decisions.\nProduce reports on licence positions and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.\nMaintain accurate software entitlement and inventory records in the Flexera licence management tool.\nMonitor software maintenance, subscriptions and support agreements.\nManage catalogue and cost recovery processes for packaged software applications.\nSupport procurement (and surrounding processes) by performing goods receipting on software purchases.\nSupport software publisher audits and verification exercises.\nReview software asset management processes to ensure they are up-to-date, identifying opportunities to improve via control and automation.\nEnsure 100% customer satisfaction and client focus .\nManage incidents and requests according to defined SLAs - ensure 100% adherence to Best Practice guidelines.\nAbout you\nEssential\nExperience of working within ITIL aligned Service Management organisation.\nExperience of working in a senior role in Software Asset Management.\nHigh level of proficiency and knowledge of IT Asset Management and enterprise procurement processes. \nAn understanding of audits and policies. \nExperience of implementing process change. \nExperience with the Flexera licence management tool.\nExcellent analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills. \nProven experience of data analysis and good numeracy, analytical and reporting skills. \nQualification in Software Asset Management.\nWorking knowledge of Service Now. \nSupplier relationship experience. \nITIL V4 Foundation Accreditation.\nCompetencies\nIT Service Management expertise. \nCommunication skills. \nStakeholder Management. \nPerformance Improvement. \nConfidence and professionalism.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
