This is an entry-level position and is based out of Lansing, MI.\nYour Role\nProvide guidance and oversight on all structural engineering aspects of transportation infrastructure/bridges projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and federal standards.\nCollaborate closely with the design and construction teams to review and evaluate structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.\nConduct thorough site inspections to assess structural integrity, identify potential risks, and propose effective solutions to mitigate them.\nWork closely with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve any structural-related issues or challenges encountered during construction.\nReview and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals related to structural works.\nConduct regular structural assessments and provide recommendations for strengthening or modification as necessary.\nPrepare comprehensive reports, documentation, engineering calculations, and correspondence related to structural engineering activities.\nAct as a technical liaison between the project team, clients, and relevant authorities, addressing any structural-related queries or concerns promptly.\nAbout You\nEXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.\nEDUCATION: Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.\nSPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases. Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred). Proficient interpersonal and communications skills.
