The successful candidate will support the assembly, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and deployment of specialized electrical and control systems used in nuclear inspection, maintenance, refurbishment, and retube projects.\nYour role\nMaintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with company procedures, electrical safety standards, quality requirements, and nuclear safety requirements.\nAssemble, install, wire, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical, instrumentation, and control systems used in specialized tooling.\nSupport the setup, integration, testing, commissioning, and deployment of automated and robotic tooling.\nPerform inspections, diagnostic testing, preventive maintenance, functional testing, and corrective repairs on tooling and support equipment.\nTroubleshoot electrical faults, wiring and signal issues, motors, sensors, instrumentation, control panels, PLCs, drives, and associated control-system hardware.\nConfigure mock-ups and test equipment to support tooling development, integration, and qualification.\nUse multimeters, meggers, ammeters, and other electrical test equipment to diagnose faults and verify equipment performance.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, technical procedures, and other controlled documents.\nMark up drawings and documentation to reflect as-built conditions.\nComplete work packages, inspection records, test reports, maintenance records, and quality documentation.\nSupport vendor testing, equipment integration, outage execution, maintenance, refurbishment, commissioning, and field-service activities.\nCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, project, and field teams to resolve technical issues and improve equipment reliability.\nPromote teamwork, accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nAbout you\nDiploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Instrumentation and Control Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or related discipline.\nTwo to five years of relevant experience in electrical assembly, instrumentation, controls, equipment maintenance, industrial systems, or field services.\nExperience with LabVIEW, National Instruments hardware, data-acquisition systems, or automated test equipment is considered an asset.\nHands-on experience with electrical wiring, cable assembly, termination, control panels, motors, sensors, instrumentation, and testing equipment.\nIndustrial plant, nuclear, manufacturing, or field-service experience is considered an asset.\nKnowledge of PLCs, drives, industrial communications, and automated control systems is considered an asset.\nFamiliarity with Siemens PLCs, Step 7, TIA Portal, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, VFDs, or servo systems is considered an asset.\nStrong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.\nAbility to qualify and maintain status as a Nuclear Energy Worker.\nAbility to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.\nStrong electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.\nSafety-focused, dependable, and accountable for assigned work.\nWillingness to work in shop and field environments, travel to project sites, and support shift or outage work as required.\nEffective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nRewards & benefits\nExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.\nEnjoy competitive compensation, employee recognition, and a brilliant range of flexible benefits you can tailor to your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle needs.\nMake the most of diverse opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills and expertise.\nAnd take advantage of our hybrid working culture and generous time-off policies to balance a fulfilling career with your personal life.\nBe rewarded.
