Sommelier responsibilities include recommending wine varieties to our guests, supervising wine serving and collaborating with winemakers to renew our selections and achieve better prices. To be qualified for this role, you should have relevant experience in hospitality or a vineyard and be available to work during business hours\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nEssential Functions Statement(s)\nCreate and update the wine list in coordination with chefs and the Food and Beverage Manager\nRecommend food and wine pairings\nAdvise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices\nInform guests about different varieties of wines and prices\nEnsure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware\nStore open bottles properly to maintain strong taste\nManage wine cellar and ensure it’s fully-stocked\nTrain wait staff on available wines\nNegotiate purchase prices with vendors\nOrganize wine tasting days or “wine of the month” events\nAsk guests for ID to verify legal drinking age\nComply with all health and safety regulations\nPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS\nCompetency Statement(s)\nAdaptability & Flexibility - Adapts to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities and works with a variety of situations, individuals, groups, and varying customer needs\nAttention to Detail - Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks\nCommunication - Listens to others and communicates in an effective manner\nConfidence - A matured and justified self-belief in one’s ability to do the job, and the conveyance of that behalf\nCustomer Focus - Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the services offered by TRC;
