The Center consists of five departments: Analysis, Finance, Legal, Licensing, and Reporting. Employees of the Center provide\nservices to all of WMG’s U.S. and LATAM record labels, Warner Chappell Music Publishing, WEA Corp. and Alternative Distribution Alliance (WMG’s distribution companies), and WMG’s other U.S. business units. The Finance Department will be responsible for managing all the center's accounting and cash management functions. As a critical component of the Finance department, the Accounting Operations Group will provide accounting services and support to WMG's LATAM Recorded Music and Music Publishing businesses.\nYour role:\nThe Accounting Manager for Accounting is responsible for overseeing the general ledger monthly close process and all aspects of Revenue and Royalty accounting for WMG LATAM businesses. They will liaise with internal and external auditors to\nensure compliance with SOX requirements as well as managing and developing a team of offshore and on-shore Accountants.\nHere you’ll get to:\nManage the monthly close process including analysis, general ledger entries, and reconciliation review, with a focus on Revenue and Royalty related functions for our LATAM businesses.\nSupport recorded music label finance and Music Publishing finance by answering questions and performing ad hoc requests around Revenue and Royalty related activities.\nAct as Liaison between SSC and Local finance teams in LATAM countries\nWork with team to complete submission to corporate and review of related schedules in submitted conjunction with the monthly/quarterly financials\nLiaise with internal and external auditors, and ensure compliance with SOX requirements including drafting and updating process narratives, and maintenance of requirement documentation\nMaintain strong relationships with finance personnel of affiliates/business units, internal/external auditors, 3rd party vendors, as well as other divisions within WMG\nPerform ad-hoc tasks and special projects as required by Division and/or Directors\nManage, coach, and develop team members both onshore and offshore\nAbout you:\nStrong leadership and organizational skills\nDemonstrated career progression, with a proven track record of stability in a leadership capacity leading month end close in a shared services environment\nShared Services mindset: drive efficiency, standardize processes, across different LATAM territories, and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs)\nExperience managing onshore and offshore teams\nExperience with Revenue and Royalty accounting, understanding of ASC 606\nBA/BS in Accounting/Finance\nBilingual English/Spanish\nSAP S4 Experience\nExcellent Excel/Microsoft Office skills\nExcellent oral and written communication skills needed in interacting with internal/external parties\nDetail oriented and ability to work under pressure/tight deadlines\nStrong analytical skills in reviewing accounting transactions\nWe’d love it if you also had:\nCPA a plus and Masters of accounting a plus\nRoyalty Systems experience a plus\n5+ years of experience in accounting or financial audit, preferably with Big 4 and private industry\nIndustry knowledge a plus\nBilingual in Portuguese a plus\nAs the home to 10K Projects, Asylum, Atlantic Music Group, East West, FFRR, Fueled by Ramen, Nonesuch, Parlophone, Rhino, Roadrunner, Sire, Warner Records, Warner Classics, and several other of the world’s premier recording labels, Warner Music Group champions emerging artists and global superstars alike.
