A key part of your mission is collaborating closely with the technology engineers and data scientists who are building our state-of-the-art predictive forecasting platform, ensuring the tool perfectly aligns with business needs. Alongside this, you will deploy modern AI solutions to automate complex financial workflows and transform ambiguous, disparate data into standardized, cohesive datasets-moving the department away from fragile legacy spreadsheets and toward a highly automated, self-service data ecosystem.\nHere you’ll get to:\nPartner closely with Technology and Affiliate Finance teams to gather requirements, design, and deploy a robust financial forecasting and planning tool that supports WMG's long-term modeling.\nSpearhead AI and automation initiatives to eliminate manual bottlenecks and streamline workflows across Strategic Finance.\nEnforce data integrity within Strategic Finance by collaborating with data management teams to architect datasets and automate rigorous quality controls.\nWork directly with senior finance collaborators to clarify complex problems and build the right analytical or technology-based approaches using large, dynamic datasets.\nAct as the trusted liaison between Strategic Finance, Technology, and data platform collaborators to ensure all technical solutions perfectly align with business priorities.\nAbout you:\nBachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.\n3-5 years of hands-on, practical experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), Python-based automation, internal app frameworks (Streamlit), BI/reporting tools, workflow automation platforms (Airtable), and AI-assisted development tools.\nExperience helping teams adopt new tools, new processes, and more modern ways of working while staying grounded in business realities.\nDemonstrated ability to lead and implement data science projects with minimal supervision.\nProficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and model development.\nExperience with machine learning frameworks and statistical tools.\nStrong understanding of SQL and working with large datasets.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical collaborators.\nStrong problem-solving abilities, with a bias towards action and a proactive approach to finding opportunities and challenges.\nWe’d love it if you also had:\nFamiliarity with the streaming music landscape or other digital media\nExperience in finance transformation and EPM implementation\nKnowledge of accounting concepts and revenue recognition principles\nAs the home to 10K Projects, Asylum, Atlantic Music Group, East West, FFRR, Fueled by Ramen, Nonesuch, Parlophone, Rhino, Roadrunner, Sire, Warner Records, Warner Classics, and several other of the world’s premier recording labels, Warner Music Group champions emerging artists and global superstars alike.
