They work collaboratively with our service & equipment sales teams, Project Engineers, suppliers and customers.\nThe Application Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager.\nMain responsibilities include:\nSupport with product sizing and selection for new and complex products or systems.\nSupport Sales team in evaluating the technical and commercial feasibility of a tender and help to clarify customer inquiries and specifications.\nDeliver high-quality quotations for locally purchased equipment, product specific modifications & engineered products.\nCollaborate with purchasing and external partners to ensure the best and most economical offers are presented.\nPrepare drawings both 2D and 3D, complete technical datasheets when needed during the sales phase.\nPrepare and lead detailed technical presentations and attend bid clarification meetings.\nContribute to continually improving the efficiency and quality of support to the sales team in cooperation with the other application engineers.\nSupport the sales team in collecting all technical information and track installation required to prepare an energy study for their customers.\nConduct and promote AIRScan studies focused on and not limited to air flow, power consumptions, leakages, air quality.\nPrepare energy study reports based on acquired data from air audits.\nPrepare comparison studies with competitor’s equipment to highlight efficiency benefits.\nCompile preliminary and actual potential grants from applicable hydro companies based on new equipment purchased vs actual installation.\nFollow up post award to support customers if needed to obtain grant from hydro companies.\nDevelop new avenues to add value to customers and bring forth our efficient solutions.\nSupporting in other related tasks and projects.\nComplying with the organization’s environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards.\nRequirements\nMinimum 5years’ experience in an engineering or technical commercial position (Project Engineering delivering technical systems, Application Engineer).\nEngineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.\nSolid experience in designing and sizing compressed air systems.\nYour experience with API/ISO standards and specifications.\nYour knowledge of oil lubricated, oil free compressors, treatment systems and installation.\nYour knowledge of CRM tools and Atlas Copco’s sizing and calculation programs Architect simulation/air audit/sizing program.\nYour experience in AutoCAD mechanical or electrical & Inventor professional.\nYour bilingualism (English and French) written and spoken.\nYour solid communication, collaboration and presentation skills.\nYour problem solving, your critical thinking and adaptability.\nYour customer focus and your capacity to take responsibility.\nFluency in French and English is required in order to communicate with colleagues and customers outside of Quebec.\nSpecial Conditions\nThis position is a standard office job and requires presence in the office 3x per week.\nYour compensation and benefits\nAt Atlas Copco Group, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation.
