Role\nAtlas Copco is on a continuous journey to strengthen data-driven, standardised, and digitally enabled sourcing processes across its global operations.\nAs Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, optimising, and digitally enabling end-to-end sourcing processes, acting as a bridge between Sourcing, Global IT, and Data & Analytics teams.\nYour focus will be on SAP-centric sourcing processes, supported by GEMS, ACDC, robust master data governance, and advanced digital capabilities such as Power BI, Databricks, and Artificial Intelligence, enabling better decisions, transparency, and scalable sourcing operations.\nYou will work in a cross-functional, international environment, supporting sourcing teams with robust systems, high-quality data, and actionable insights.\nJob Responsibilities\nSourcing Process & Systems Engineering\nAnalyse, document, and improve end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes, including supplier onboarding, RFQ/RFP, pricing, contracts, source lists, and PO lifecycle.\nDevelop and maintain As-Is/To-Be process models, system flows, and data dependencies.\nAct as a process subject matter expert for sourcing-related systems and digital initiatives.\nSAP, GEMS and ACDC Platforms\nAct as functional SME for SAP MM / SAP S/4HANA sourcing and procurement processes.\nSupport and optimise sourcing workflows in GEMS and ACDC, ensuring alignment with SAP and business processes.\nTranslate business requirements into functional specifications for Global IT and solution partners.\nSupport UAT, deployments, rollouts, and hypercare for sourcing system enhancements.\nMaster Data Governance (MDG)\nSupport governance of sourcing master data, including supplier master, purchasing info records, pricing, and source lists.\nWork with SAP MDG to ensure data quality, consistency, ownership, and approval workflows.\nDefine and monitor data quality rules for sourcing master and transactional data.\nSupport root cause analysis and remediation of data quality issues.\nData, Analytics and Reporting\nDefine and govern sourcing KPIs related to cost savings, supplier performance and risk, spend compliance, lead time, MOQ, and sourcing efficiency.\nEnable data flows from SAP, GEMS, and ACDC into Databricks / Azure Data Lake in collaboration with Data Engineering teams.\nDesign and maintain Power BI dashboards for sourcing and management reporting.\nEnsure consistent definitions, transparency, and traceability of sourcing data.\nArtificial Intelligence and Digital Enablement\nIdentify and support AI-driven sourcing use cases such as supplier risk prediction, price trend analysis, and spend classification.\nCollaborate with Data Science and Analytics teams to operationalise AI solutions.\nDrive automation and advanced analytics initiatives supporting sourcing excellence.\nStakeholder and Change Management\nAct as a key interface between Sourcing, Global IT, Analytics, and external partners.\nSupport user adoption of sourcing systems, reports, and dashboards.\nDevelop user documentation, training materials, and support change management for sustainable adoption.\nYour skills and experience\nExperience & knowledge\nSolid experience in sourcing or procurement processes within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nStrong hands-on knowledge of SAP MM / SAP S/4HANA Procurement.\nExperience working with business systems, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.\nGood understanding of data concepts, analytics, and reporting.\nDigital & technical skills\nPower BI (data modelling, dashboard development).\nExposure to Databricks or modern data platforms.\ndata integration concepts, Basic understanding of SQL\nWays of working\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExperience translating business needs into system and data requirements.\nComfortable working in cross-functional and multicultural environments.\nStructured, fact-based, and quality-oriented working style.\nFamiliar with Agile or project-based ways of working.\nEducation\nUniversity degree in Engineering ( Information Technology, or equivalent experience )\n3 + years of experience\nWe
