Service Engineer 1 - Specialty Rental Division

Atlas Copco Equipment Egypt S.A.E. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer 1 to join our Specialty Rental Division within the Power Technique business area. As a part of our Field Service department, you will play a crucial role in delivering technical support and maintenance services that ensure the highest performance and reliability of our equipment for our valued customers.

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of specialized rental equipment. This includes conducting diagnostics, executing preventive maintenance routines, and collaborating closely with customers to understand and meet their technical needs. Your work will directly contribute to sustaining optimal operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, making you a key player in upholding Atlas Copco’s reputation for quality service.

Responsibilities

- Ensure the prompt and professional servicing of Atlas Copco Rental equipment while responding effectively to customer needs.

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform efficient maintenance and repairs on rental equipment.

- Work efficiently under pressure, manage a high workload, maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, and provide 24/7 support.

- Travel extensively across Egypt to visit customer sites and provide technical support and operational assistance as required.

- Provide excellent customer care and build strong relationships with clients, especially key accounts, delivering an exceptional standard of service.

- Be flexible and willing to stay at remote customer sites throughout the rental period, including weekends and public or religious holidays, when required, to perform duties as a Site Engineer by operating, monitoring, and supervising equipment, carrying out preventive maintenance activities, and providing continuous support as needed.

- Promote digital solutions to enhance customer communication and relationships.

- Contribute to a customer-centric culture and support continuous improvement initiatives in rental operations and service response.

- Assist in planning daily and weekly visit schedules to maximize operational efficiency.

- Champion health and safety regulations at the Service Centre and customer sites, while adhering to the highest engineering standards.

- Participate in call-out rotations, ensuring our customers receive assistance whenever needed.

- Represent Atlas Copco professionally and contribute positively to the company’s image through dedication and high-quality service.

- Maintain test instruments in good working condition and ensure that they are properly calibrated before use.

- Maintain good housekeeping practice in the workshop, Service Centre, and customer sites.

What We Expect From You

We are looking for candidates with a strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering principles, ideally with experience in service engineering or equipment maintenance within the rental or industrial sectors. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and within a team, and strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues are essential. You should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality service under varying field conditions.

Location

The position is based in Cairo, and the job scope covers all governorates of Egypt , where you will work closely with the service team and customers in this region to ensure seamless operations and support.
