You will join our Oil-Injected Screw Product Development team in Wilrijk and report to the team leader. In this role, your mission is to advance compressor thermodynamics, optimize fluid dynamic behavior, and develop innovative technology for our oil-injected screw (OIS) compressor elements-the core \"workhorse of the industry\".\nYour day-to-day\nPerform extensive research, calculations, numerical simulations, and digital twin modeling on compressor components and subsystems.\n\nIdentify key design decisions and devise and execute testing plans to bridge technical knowledge gaps.\n\nEnsure the seamless implementation of new technology concepts within new product development projects.\n\nAcquire and share domain expertise across internal and external engineering stakeholders.\n\nTrack technology evolution and industry trends for specific compressor types and subsystems.\n\nCombine analytical design and modeling with hands-on testing, prototyping, and manufacturing evaluation on-site in Wilrijk.\n\nYour skills and experience\nMaster’s degree in Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, or equivalent practical experience; a PhD in a relevant engineering domain is considered an asset.\n\nStrong technical foundation in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics, supported by excellent analytical problem-solving skills.\n\nProficiency in MATLAB (or Python) and ability to interpret FEA/CFD simulation results; numerical modeling experience is a plus.\n\nExperience in oil-injected screw compressors, rotating equipment, or R&D project delivery is an advantage, but not required.\n\nExcellent communication skills and fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset.\n\nMultidisciplinary team player capable of diving deep into complex details while keeping the broader product strategy in view.\n\nWe encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement.
