You will lead a team of electrical personnel and contractors while driving safety, asset reliability, preventative maintenance, shutdown execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis position offers a rare opportunity to manage a critical infrastructure asset and play a key role in the long-term success of one of the most innovative material handling systems in North America.\nThe Electrical Manager is responsible for adhering to all OSHA and MSHA standards while performing all job duties.\n Responsibilities:\nLead all Electrical maintenance activities across the Dune Express, complying with OSHA, MSHA, and Atlas policies and procedures.\nWork with outside Engineering firms to design new electrical equipment.\nTravel to various vendor locations and for audits and meetings. This will be more so during the design and construction phase.\nReview, understand, redline, and update electrical schematics, drawings, one lines, e-houses layouts, etc.\nManage a team of field electricians on day-to-day task such as inspections, PMs, trouble shooting, reporting\nMentor and coach employees, fostering both technical capability and leadership development.\nOversee maintenance and repair activities for switchrooms, transformers, incoming power distribution, and associated electrical equipment.\nLead major shutdowns, outages, and maintenance campaigns.\nOversee PLC, controls, SCADA, communications and instrumentation systems\nAttend training and certification courses required by the company.\nDeveloping, maintaining, and reporting on budgets both for OPEX and CAPEX\nEngaging with third party vendors for quotes and lead times\nComply with OSHA and MSHA standards and annual testing on electrical equipment.\nCreate and maintain training manuals, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides specific to the Dune Express system.\nIn conjunction with senior leadership, may plan, staff, and organize field/shop positions.\nInteracts with project management, engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and schedule.\nResponsible for resolving direct report’s issues (lack of productivity, safety, quality, work interfaces, rework etc.) as required.\nAssist in obtaining personnel through Human Resources/Recruiting or network (as necessary).\nAssess work completion. Create punch lists.\nAdvise Dune Manager of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.\nOther duties as assigned\n Qualifications:\nMinimum 5+ years of experience in conveyors or heavy industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery, leadership in an operations and manufacturing environment.\nStrong budgeting and cost control skills\nKnowledge in PLC, SCADA systems and other industrial automation technologies.\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse maintenance team\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nExperience managing critical infrastructure and high-availability assets.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders\nBe able to interrupt blueprints and equipment manuals\nDemonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions\nValid Driver’s License\nAbility to pass DOT medical assessment\nPreferred: \nElectrical Engineering degree, Electrical Trade Qualification, or equivalent technical background.\nExperience with conveyor systems and bulk material handling assets.\nExperience with VFDs, SCADA systems, fiber communications, and condition monitoring technologies.\nExperience in reliability-centered maintenance and asset management practices.\nPrevious experience in a leadership or management role.\n Reporting Relationship:\nReports To: Dune Express Manager\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nProvides direct supervision to assigned employees, including responsibility for work assignments, performance management, coaching and development, and input into hiring, disciplinary, and compensation decisions\n Work Location & Travel Requirements\nLocation: Dune Express Overland Conveyor System\nWork Environment: Office - Field - Outdoors\nTravel: Based out of 1218 office but may require travel to vendor locations, events, conferences etc.\nPhysical Demands: Office based, but field time required, able to walk considerable distances, and climb walkways and gantries\nHow You Will Stand Out \nYou are team-oriented, approachable, and work well with others.\nYou take pride in your work, ensuring accuracy and quality in every task.\nYou handle personal and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.\nYou are driven by team success\nWhat You Will Love About Us\nBest People and Team.
