At Atlas Labs, we are passionate about combining advanced technology with customer-focused solutions to improve industries and communities worldwide.\nYour Role\nDevelop, test, and maintain embedded hardware and firmware for Atlas Labs’ connected technology products.\nOwn the technical validation of hardware during production, ensuring assembled devices meet design, quality, and functional requirements before deployment.\nDevelop and maintain embedded software for microcontrollers, processors, Linux-based systems, and RTOS environments.\nDesign and troubleshoot electronic circuits, schematics, PCB assemblies, sensors, power systems, and peripheral interfaces.\nSupport the transition of new hardware from prototype to production, including defining test procedures, identifying manufacturing issues, and implementing engineering improvements.\nBuild and maintain production testing, device validation, and provisioning processes to ensure consistent product quality at scale.\nIntegrate and validate communication technologies including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, and other device connectivity protocols.\nIntegrate embedded devices with cloud services, APIs, and AI-based systems to enable data collection, processing, monitoring, and intelligent product features.\nWork with AI and software teams to integrate models and inference pipelines with edge devices and ensure reliable communication between hardware, firmware, and application platforms.\nDiagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, connectivity, and device-level issues identified during production, testing, deployment, and field operation.\nDevelop tools, scripts, and automation to improve device testing, configuration, diagnostics, firmware deployment, and production efficiency.\nMaintain clear engineering documentation, including hardware specifications, firmware changes, test procedures, production instructions, and technical troubleshooting records.\nCollaborate closely with mechanical, software, AI, product, manufacturing, and supplier teams throughout the product development and production lifecycle.\nEvaluate component changes, hardware revisions, and engineering modifications to improve product reliability, manufacturability, performance, and cost.\nContribute to system architecture and technical decisions for new embedded and AI-enabled products from early development through production and deployment.\nYour Profile\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.\n2+ years of experience developing embedded hardware/software solutions.\nExperience in schematic design and PCB development.\nProficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems, including ARM and microcontrollers.\nUnderstanding of mixed-signal circuit design and system integration.\nFamiliarity with AI/ML technologies is a plus.\nUnderstanding of software design patterns and version control.\nExperience with KiCAD 6 or similar design tools is a plus.\nExperience designing and debugging PCBs using tools such as oscilloscopes is a plus.\nUnderstanding of wireless communication protocols.\nExperience with RTOS is a plus.\nGood written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\nAbility to meet deadlines.\nBenefits\nIn addition to our great team, positive culture, and shared vision, Atlas Labs offers a range of benefits that make it a great place to work:\nThe opportunity to create and implement high-value, innovative technology while contributing to the long-term growth of a successful technology company.\nA high-impact working environment with a short decision-making process.\nMarket-rate remuneration with a Dollar peg.\nState-of-the-art hardware to work with and a modern software infrastructure.\nA beautiful office in the heart of Colombo.\nApply Today\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
