Note: We are looking to hiring in Vancouver, Canada for this position.\nResponsibilities\nIn this role, you will:\nUnderstand the user journey and user funnel\n\nCollaborate with product, design and engineering to influence product strategy and direction\n\nYou will guide the technical direction and implementation of large-scale product features\n\nEvaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance and customer impact to ensure we build the right solution\n\nDebug inefficiencies on the team and fix them\n\nShip well-tested, secure, reliable, and maintainable code while keeping our customers best interests in mind\n\nContribute to code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes with security, performance and reliability in mind\n\nMentor and level up the skills of your teammates by sharing your expertise\n\nImprove the growth engineering team through mentoring\n\nIdentify blockers to ensure software engineering excellence (design principles and patterns, unit testing, performance engineering, best practices for security and privacy)\n\nQualifications\nYour background:\n10+ years of experience designing/building enterprise-grade solutions using microservices\n\nBackground in Java, Kotlin, Observability tools, and service operations\n\nIn-depth knowledge of AWS offerings\n\nExperience building distributed systems for a SaaS product\n\nPassion and experience with recognizing, raising, and reconciling gaps and redundant efforts across organizations\n\nSuccess with cross-company collaboration\n\nExperience influencing and performance coaching engineers\n\nCompensation\nAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs.
