This role will focus on driving the vision, strategy, and execution of Rovo Chat, Atlassian's AI-driven conversational interface that helps teams discover knowledge, take action, and work smarter across their entire digital workplace.\nYou will be part of the Central AI team and will play an important role in shaping how millions of users interact with AI across Atlassian's product suite. Your core responsibilities will be as follows:\nStrategic Vision and Roadmap\nContribute to and execute the product vision and roadmap for Rovo Chat, aligning with Atlassian's AI strategy and user needs.\n\nIdentify and prioritize opportunities to grow Chat adoption and engagement (MAU), balancing user value with measurable business outcomes.\n\nConversational AI Experiences\nDrive the development of intelligent chat experiences that connect users to knowledge across first-party (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) and third-party (Google Drive, Slack, GitHub, Salesforce, etc.) sources.\n\nAdvance multi-turn conversation quality, context awareness, memory, and proactive assistance.\n\nCross-Functional Execution\nPartner with engineering, design, data science, GTM, and enterprise teams to deliver features from ideation through launch and iteration.\n\nOperate with program-level rigor: run shiprooms, manage action items, and hold teams accountable to deadlines and quality bars.\n\nQuality, Trust, and Measurement\nDefine and monitor success metrics for Chat quality (accuracy, groundedness, user satisfaction) and adoption.\n\nChampion responsible AI practices, ensuring safe, transparent, and inclusive conversational experiences.\n\nQualifications\n3-5 years as a Product Manager or in a similar role, with exposure to AI/ML-powered products, conversational systems, or search experiences.\n\nUses AI tools daily as a working method, not a novelty. Can prompt, iterate, and evaluate AI outputs to draft specs, analyze data, synthesize research, create prototypes, and unblock decisions without waiting for someone else to set it up. Treats AI as a first instinct, not a fallback.\n\nSolid understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and conversational systems.
