This role requires a unique blend of deep Salesforce architectural expertise, modern full-stack software engineering practices, and proven people leadership to deliver resilient, revenue-critical systems at enterprise scale.\nResponsibilities\nPeople & Team Leadership\nLead, mentor, and grow a globally distributed team of full-stack software engineers, Salesforce developers, and integration specialists.\n\nFoster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, accountability, and operational hygiene.\n\nManage sprint planning, capacity forecasting, and resource allocations across strategic foundation programs, new product introductions (NPIs), and operational support (BAU / Disturbed rotation).\n\n2. Technical Architecture & Engineering Ownership\nSet the architectural vision and engineering standards across the Salesforce platform, custom full-stack applications, and backend microservices.\n\nDrive the stabilization and re-architecture of mission-critical data flows-specifically, Commerce Control Plane to Salesforce -ensuring high reliability and zero data loss/duplication.\n\nChampion modern full-stack development practices, automated testing frameworks, and robust CI/CD deployment pipelines (SFDX, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS).\n\nLead design reviews, API contract definitions, and architecture governance across 20+ interconnected enterprise systems.\n\n3. GTM & Business Partnership\nPartner closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Technical Program Managers (TPMs), and Sales Operations leaders to translate complex revenue strategies into scalable technical solutions.\n\nDrive foundational initiatives supporting new pricing and business models (Usage-Based Pricing, Ramp Deals, Enterprise Licensing/ELAs, Quoting platforms, Partner Central).\n\nMaintain proactive observability and alert monitoring to mitigate ACV revenue leakage, entitlement sync issues, and operational bottlenecks.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For (Qualifications)\nCore Experience\n12+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise B2B SaaS environments, with at least 4+ years of direct people management experience leading engineering teams of 15+ members.\n\nProven track record of delivering enterprise-scale Quote-to-Cash, Lead-to-Opportunity, Deal Modeling/CPQ, Entitlements, and Renewals workflows.\n\nSalesforce Expertise\nDeep architectural and hands-on knowledge of the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud / Partner Communities).\n\nMastery of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Platform Events, Flow automation, SOQL/SOSL, and governor limit optimization.\n\nSolid understanding of Salesforce security models, OWDs, permission set architectures, and multi-org/environment release management.\n\nSalesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, Platform Developer II) are strongly preferred.\n\nFull-Stack & Backend Engineering Depth\nStrong technical background in modern backend and full-stack development using languages and frameworks such as Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, React/TypeScript, or Python.\n\nExtensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS/SNS, message queues, webhooks).\n\nStrong relational database design, data modeling, and query optimization skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).\n\nExperience with cloud infrastructure and serverless services on AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway).\n\nHands-on knowledge of enterprise integration platforms and middleware (Workato, or custom microservice pipelines).\n\nLeadership & Mindset\nArchitecture-First & Proactive Mindset: Ability to balance tactical operational fixes (HOT/incident mitigation) with long-term, scalable system simplifications.\n\nExceptional Communication: Clear, executive-level communication skills to present technical trade-offs to business stakeholders and bridge gaps across global teams.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with subscription management and billing platforms (e.g., Zuora, Oracle Fusion).\n\nExperience integrating with marketing automation tools (Marketo, Contentful, Outreach/Gainsight).\n\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and conversational/agentic automation platforms.\n\nQualifications\nBenefits & Perks\nAtlassian offers a wide range of perks and benefits designed to support you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
