We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.\nTo help our teams work together effectively, this role is fully remote, but requires you to be located in British Columbia, Canada (Pacific Time zone alignment preferred).\nYour Future Org\nTo be a 100-year company, we are proudly building a world-class engineering organization composed of empowered teams that are equipped with the tools and infrastructure to do the best work of their careers.\nEngineering at Atlassian prioritizes initiatives that advance AI and support our customers' transition to the cloud, while consistently delivering maximum value through our core product suite - Loom, Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket.\nWe seek individuals who are eager to shape the future and believe in the power of collaboration to achieve extraordinary results together.\nYour Future Team\nThe Loom Integration Platform & Billing Engineering team builds and scales the core monetization, financial subscription workflows, and platform migration services that connect Loom with the Atlassian cloud ecosystem.\nOur team enables seamless workspace migrations, powers scalable billing operations and drives monetization experiments that deliver high-impact customer experiences at global scale.\nResponsibilities\nIn this role, you will:\nDesign, build, and ship end-to-end features across the stack in a scalable, distributed cloud environment.\n\nBuild high-performing, accessible, and responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.\n\nImplement robust and scalable backend REST APIs and microservices handling billing, subscriptions, and platform migration pipelines.\n\nIntegrate with payment systems and internal identity/provisioning systems.\n\nConfigure observability, monitoring, alerting, and error reporting to maintain high platform reliability and low time-to-restore.\n\nParticipate in agile software development routines including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional technical design reviews.\n\nContribute to meaningful code reviews, maintain documentation, and uphold best practices for testing, performance, and security.\n\nYour background:\n2-4+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, developing, and operating production web applications.\n\nProficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js).\n\nHands-on experience developing and maintaining backend microservices and RESTful APIs using modern languages (e.g., Node.js, TypeScript, Java, or Python).\n\nExperience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerized workflows (Docker, CI/CD pipelines).\n\nUnderstanding of modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha) and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.\n\nStrong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a remote-first team setting.\n\nIt's great, but not required if you have:\nExperience with billing, payments, subscription platforms, or financial systems.\n\nFamiliarity with developer tools like Github, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.\n\nQualifications\nBenefits & Perks\nAtlassian offers a wide range of perks and benefits designed to support you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
