Performs basic level functions required to operate, maintain, test, and calibrate measurement, regulating and/or instrumentation and control facilities and systems.\n2. Performs activities to assure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies.\n3. Completes and maintains accurate records and reports to comply with Company and regulatory requirements.\n4. Executes scheduled equipment inspections, tests, calibrations, maintenance and replacements as needed according to company and regulatory requirements on:\n- electronic correctors, EFMs and flow measurement devices\n- natural gas pressure regulation equipment\n- natural gas odorizing equipment.\n5. Assists with basic functions related to:\n- large diaphragm, turbine, rotary, orifice, ultrasonic and coriolis meters\n- communication circuits and equipment such as radio, modems, satellite, land lines.\n- RTU and other SCADA equipment.\n- review of lost and unaccounted for gas information provided by internal systems\n6. Performs basic duties related to inspecting, testing, calibrating and maintaining of natural gas quality analysis equipment such as samplers, chromatographs, hydrogen sulfide and moisture detection equipment.\n7. Coordinates and performs measurement tests with third party companies to assure measurement integrity, accuracy and verify meeting of contractual requirements.\n8. Monitors natural gas quality to assure contract compliance and initiates enforcement actions when needed.\n9. Investigates operational balancing systems, and implements appropriate actions to continuously improve results to satisfy desired targets.\n10. Performs such work in accordance with Company, regulatory and safety procedures.\nOTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:\n1. May be required to hold stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency call outs, and occasional extensive hours.\n2. Is subject to reporting outside regular work area.\n3. Identifies, addresses, and reports safety and encroachment issues to their resolution and completion.\n4. Is responsible for the safe operation and inspection of assigned Company vehicles and equipment.\n5. Demonstrates support for and adheres to the Company's values, strategies, policies and procedures and exhibits the core values of AtmoSpirit, Customer Service, Safety and the Company's Code of Conduct both as an individual contributor, team member and/or leader of others.\n6. Must become familiar with the contents of the Safety Manual, live by the spirit of its intent and become involved in creating and maintaining a safe.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducational/Experience Level:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent, and three years natural gas measurement, construction and maintenance and/or service field experience; or equivalent.\nFor Internal Applicants Only:\nSuccessful completion the following Workday Learning courses prior to applying for this position:\nBecoming a MIC Tech\nGas Measurement Basics\nIntroduction to Meters & Electronic Instruments\nPrinciples of Theory\nRequires a valid driver's license in accordance with company standards.\nCommunication Skills:\nRequires the ability to communicate with internal/external customers to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information.\nNumeric Skills:\nRequires the ability to perform complex calculations related to measurement principles and concepts.\nComputer Skills:\nRequires advanced knowledge of various software applications and multiple technologies to create documents, reports and/or graphics.\nWork Conditions:\nWork requires entry to customer premises.\nWorks outdoors in all types of weather and may be exposed to extremes of climate and temperatures, high noise levels, rough terrain, and occasional work on ladders and confined spaces.\nRequires extensive travel.\nMay have residence requirement due to call-out response time.\nWorks as an individual contributor and/or as member of a team.\nPhysical Demands:\nAbility to lift and carry 80 pounds from the ground. (Ex: lifting and carrying a bags of concrete).\nAbility to lift 53 pounds from the ground to 52 inches. (Ex: lifting and operating fire extinguisher).\nAbility to generate 81-foot pounds of force at a contact point of 70 inches. (Ex: securing fittings).\nAbility to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch. 5.
