Our mission is to make manufacturing as agile and scalable as the digital world, and in doing so, rebuild the infrastructure of the physical economy.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a manufacturing engineer to help build and launch a high-volume, highly automated injection molding plant. You will work closely with the Plant Manager to design and bring up molding cells, specify and commission equipment, and engineer production lines to run at high yield and uptime from day one.\nThis is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will be responsible for engineering the full molding cell-from material handling to press automation to part packaging-not just optimizing isolated processes. The ideal candidate has launched automated molding lines in fast-moving, high-mix environments and is comfortable taking ownership of throughput, quality, and cycle time from end to end.\nResponsibilities\nEngineer, design, and commission complete injection molding cells, including presses, EOAT, robotics, dryers, vision systems, material handling, and packaging equipment\n\nCollaborate with tooling and automation teams to ensure that molds and fixtures are designed for automation, reliability, and maintainability\n\nSpecify, install, and validate manufacturing equipment, including thermal systems, drying/blending systems, and auxiliary automation\n\nOwn cell layout, material flow, and process integration; optimize for uptime, cycle time, and changeover efficiency\n\nDrive qualification activities including FAT/SAT, DOE, Cpk, GR&R, and root cause analysis\n\nIntegrate sensor feedback and process monitoring systems in collaboration with automation and software teams\n\nGenerate and maintain clear, concise documentation including process instructions, validation protocols, and standard work\n\nWork alongside quality and process technicians to establish control plans and quality checkpoints\n\nQualifications\n5+ years in manufacturing engineering for injection molding operations, with experience launching automated production cells\n\nDemonstrated ownership of equipment specification, vendor interaction, process integration, and startup in a production setting\n\nStrong working knowledge of mold tooling, press systems, cycle time optimization, and automation integration\n\nExperience with high-volume or high-mix operations in plastics manufacturing\n\nFamiliarity with robotic systems, vision inspection, thermal management, and downstream automation\n\nProficient in root cause analysis, process validation, and lean manufacturing principles\n\nAble to work cross-functionally and move quickly with minimal oversight in a startup environment\n\nPreferred\nExperience with Moldflow, RJG, or scientific molding techniques\n\nExposure to MES or real-time factory monitoring systems\n\nProficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent) and engineering documentation systems\n\nBackground in high-performance, fast-paced manufacturing environments that emphasize quality, speed, and
