We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.\nIf you want to work on hard problems with real-world impact, join us.\nWhat you’ll do\nOn the Bionic Enterprise Platform team, you’ll build the shared software and infrastructure that help our Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) deliver solutions across Atoms. You’ll work closely with FDEs to turn successful deployments into reusable capabilities and make each new solution faster to build, easier to operate, and more reliable.\nPartner with FDEs to understand what they’re building, identify recurring needs, and decide which parts should become shared platform capabilities.\nTurn proven solutions into reusable services, integrations, and components that other engineers can adopt with minimal setup.\nBuild the foundations for AI-powered applications and workflows, including access to models, business systems, and data, with shared authentication, permissions, and observability.\nCreate tools, APIs, SDKs, and deployment templates that let FDEs build, test, and ship independently while meeting security and reliability requirements.\nHelp successful deployments grow beyond their initial use case. Strengthen architecture, testing, monitoring, and failure recovery so the business can depend on them.\nOwn the platform in production, including reliability, performance, cost, and upgrades. Establish clear ownership and support paths as solutions move from initial deployment to ongoing operation.\nMeasure success through developer adoption, shorter delivery times, reduced duplication, and reliable operation. Use feedback from FDEs to keep the platform focused on real needs.\nWhat we’re looking for\nA bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, with experience building infrastructure, platforms, or shared backend services.\nStrong software engineering fundamentals. You can design clear APIs, model data, reason about distributed systems, and make practical tradeoffs between speed, reliability, and complexity.\nExperience turning a specific implementation into a reusable capability. You know when an abstraction will help and when it’s too early to build one.\nA developer-focused mindset. You care about documentation, debugging, onboarding, and making the easiest way to build a reliable one.\nExperience integrating systems through APIs, authentication, and data pipelines, with an understanding of access controls and safe handling of business data.\nFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, and production observability. Experience with GCP or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.\nExperience building AI-powered applications or supporting infrastructure for them, such as model gateways, tool integrations, workflow execution, or evaluations.\nEffective use of AI coding tools, with the ability to understand, test, debug, and maintain the systems you build.\nStrong ownership and collaboration. Atoms is a company driven by invention and continuous change - we are constantly reimagining our industries, building new products, and refining how we operate. We do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.\nThe base salary range for this role is$176,000 - $242,000 per year.\nActual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.\nBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package.
