Atos Group is listed on Euronext Paris.\nWe are looking for a Cobol Developer to support the maintenance and evolution of a portfolio of COBOL and Java applications within a complex information system.\nThe role is part of a Third-Party Application Maintenance (TMA) environment, focused on:\nData quality and consistency\nRegulatory compliance\nReliability of critical data flows\nService continuity for business-critical systems\nTMA activities typically include corrective, evolutive, and preventive maintenance of applications while ensuring performance and compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Technical Leadership\nAct as the technical reference across the RFOS application landscape (batch processing, services, UIs, sub-programs).\nEnsure consistency of the hybrid COBOL/Java architecture.\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to developers (best practices, code reviews, complex components).\nServe as a key technical escalation point for maintenance and regulatory evolution topics.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives (performance, quality, maintainability).\n2. Development & Maintenance\nLead and contribute to corrective and evolutive maintenance activities.\nWork on business-critical components, including:Daily batch import/export processing\nData exposure through Web Services\nManagement and consultation user interfaces\nReference data, contracts, and nomenclature modules\n\nEnsure the robustness and performance of batch processes, which typically handle large volumes of data in scheduled automated runs.\nContribute to technical debt reduction within a large legacy application landscape.\nAnalyze and troubleshoot incidents across production systems.\n3. Quality, Testing & Industrialization\nDefine and implement testing strategies (component, integration, and data flow testing).\nSecure batch processing (restart mechanisms, controls, monitoring).\nImprove and maintain industrialization processes (scheduling, shell scripts, Unix tooling).\nEnsure data quality, traceability, and consistency across systems.\nManage and control sensitive data flows and reconciliation processes.\nContribute to the design and evolution of Web Services for data exposure.\nPerform technical impact analyses related to regulatory changes.\n4. Collaboration\nWork closely with:Operations teams\nTesting teams\nBusiness stakeholders (MOA)\n\nParticipate actively in incident resolution, including data-related production incidents.\nEnsure alignment across multiple interconnected systems and external data repositories (e.g., healthcare registries or national datasets).\nAccountability:\nEnsure the technical and functional quality of RFOS applications.\nSecure critical data flows and reference data systems.\nProactively contributes to technical and organizational improvements.\nMaintain high-quality documentation (technical, functional, operational).\nRequired Technical Skills\nMandatory\nCOBOL\nSQL\nUnix / Shell scripting\nSpring Batch\nExperience with UIs and service-oriented architectures\nFluent French\nNice to have\nJava\nClearQuest or equivalent tools\nOther Technical Expertise\nWeb Services design and data exposure\nMiddleware: WebLogic\nEnvironments: Unix / AIX\nScheduling: $U (or similar orchestrator)\nVersion control and testing tools (batch & data flow validation)\nData reconciliation and control tools\nStrong understanding of:\nData quality, consistency and reference systems\nComplex inter-application data flows\nCritical and high-impact regulatory systems\nHere at Atos, diversity and inclusion are embedded in our DNA.
