The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to ensure solutions meet architectural, security, performance, integration, and operational requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn the end-to-end architecture and technical design of Pega applications.\nLead solution design across case management, workflows, data models, integrations, security, and user experience.\nDefine application architecture, reusable components, enterprise design patterns, and implementation standards.\nProvide technical leadership to Pega Senior System Architects, System Architects, and development teams.\nReview solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure compliance with Pega guardrails and engineering best practices.\nLead complex technical design decisions and resolve architecture and performance challenges.\nDesign scalable integration patterns using REST APIs, services, connectors, data pages, messaging, and enterprise integration technologies.\nDefine appropriate authentication, authorization, access control, and security architecture.\nEnsure solutions meet non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, availability, resilience, security, and maintainability.\nEstablish appropriate application monitoring, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting approaches.\nDefine DevOps, CI/CD, branching, deployment, and release management approaches for Pega applications.\nSupport production readiness, deployment planning, and technical assurance activities.\nWork closely with Business Architects, Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Security Architects, and Integration Architects.\nTranslate business requirements into appropriate Pega architecture and technical solutions.\nLead technical workshops and communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nMentor Pega engineers and support the development of engineering capability across delivery teams.\nPerform design and code reviews and ensure technical debt is identified and appropriately managed.\nSupport estimation, delivery planning, technical risk management, and dependency management.\nAct as the Pega technical authority and escalation point throughout the delivery lifecycle.\nRequired Skills and Experience\nExtensive hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise applications using the Pega Platform.\nStrong experience working as a Pega Lead System Architect or Solution Architect on large and complex programmes.\nDeep knowledge of Pega case management, application architecture, data modelling, and integration.\nStrong understanding of Pega application design principles, guardrails, and reusable architecture.\nStrong experience with REST APIs, integration services, connectors, and enterprise integration patterns.\nExperience designing secure Pega solutions including authentication, authorization, and role-based/attribute-based access controls.\nStrong knowledge of Pega performance optimisation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nExperience with Pega DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and enterprise deployment approaches.\nExperience delivering solutions within Agile/Scrum environments.\nAbility to lead multiple Pega development teams and provide architecture governance across workstreams.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.\nAbility to explain complex architecture decisions to senior business and technology stakeholders.\nCertification\nMandatory:\nCertified Pega Lead System Architect (CPLSA/CLSA).\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with Pega Infinity '24/'25 or later.\nExperience with Pega Constellation architecture and DX API.\nEssential Criteria - SC Eligibility\nTo be eligible for SC clearance, you must have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past 5 years.\nBenefits:\nPension Scheme - contributions matched up to 10%\nPrivate medical cover\nIncome Protection\nLife Assurance\n25 days paid leave + National Holidays\nFlex benefits program\nAt Atos, we want everyone to feel confident and supported throughout the recruitment process.
