The role will support the consistent application of the PMO service catalogue, standards and controls, translating agreed PMO requirements into reliable day-to-day delivery.\nThe successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership across governance, reporting, planning, RAID, financial and resource controls. Working closely with delivery teams and stakeholders, the PMO Lead will improve the quality and visibility of management information, support informed decision-making and contribute to continuous improvement across PMO services.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the day-to-day delivery of PMO services for assigned projects, programmes or accounts, ensuring activities are completed accurately and to agreed timescales.\nCoordinate governance cycles, reporting, RAID management, planning, resource management and financial control activities in line with agreed PPM standards and contractual requirements.\nProduce and quality-assure clear, accurate and decision-focused management information, highlighting trends, dependencies, exceptions and emerging delivery concerns.\nSupport project, programme and account leadership by providing practical PMO guidance, analysis and constructive challenge on governance, controls, planning and performance visibility.\nMonitor adherence to PMO processes and controls, addressing gaps and escalating material issues through the appropriate governance route.\nSupport the implementation and adoption of standard PMO processes, tools, templates and methodologies across the assigned delivery environment.\nCoordinate PMO activities across multiple workstreams and stakeholders, maintaining priorities and ensuring dependencies and deadlines are actively managed.\nProvide task leadership, coaching and quality oversight to PMO team members, sharing good practice and supporting capability development.\nIdentify and implement proportionate improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, data quality and stakeholder value.\nMaintain effective working relationships across delivery, commercial, finance, resource and account teams to support integrated project and programme controls.\nSkills We Can’t Do Without\nProven experience delivering PMO services within complex project or programme environments.\nStrong working knowledge of governance, reporting, RAID management, planning, resource management and project controls.\nAbility to analyse information, identify exceptions and translate data into concise, actionable insight.\nEffective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge and escalate issues appropriately.\nAbility to organise and coordinate multiple priorities, activities and deadlines in a structured manner.\nExperience of quality-assuring PMO outputs and promoting consistent standards across a delivery environment.\nAbility to guide, support and coach colleagues while maintaining accountability for the quality and timeliness of PMO delivery.\nGood financial and commercial awareness, including an understanding of budget, forecast and resource information.\nContinuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify practical opportunities to simplify and strengthen PMO services.\nWorking knowledge of relevant PPM tools and systems, such as OneProject, RAID tools and financial systems.\nRelevant project, programme or PMO qualifications, such as PRINCE2, MSP, P3O or Agile, are desirable.\nAdditional Requirements\nCandidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance.\nLocation: UK-based.
