We share a common vision of a responsible and sustainable innovation that delivers concrete impact for our customers.\nWe are looking for a Sovereign Platform Engineer - Confidential Computing to help build secure sovereign cloud and AI platforms powered by confidential computing technologies.\nAt Bull, you will join the Enterprise Computing & Networking Competency Centre (ECN), driving innovation across R&D, Product Management, Support & Delivery, Manufacturing, and the CTO Office. Working at the intersection of confidential computing, trusted hardware, sovereign cloud, and AI infrastructure, you will evaluate emerging technologies and transform them into scalable, production-ready platform capabilities.\nAs a technical lead, you will drive the evaluation, validation, and industrialization of emerging sovereign platform technologies.\nYou will help ensure that:\nSensitive data remains protected while in use through isolation and memory encryption\nWorkloads are isolated from the host and hypervisor environment\nPlatform operators cannot access confidential data\nOnly verified and authorized workloads can access protected information\nKey Responsibilities:\nBuild and industrialize confidential computing platforms\nDesign and implement Kubernetes-based platforms leveraging technologies such as Intel TDX, confidential containers, and Kata Containers\nEmbed security-by-design principles including cryptography, secure boot, attestation, and secrets management\nApply Zero Trust principles to workload identity, verification, and isolation\nDefine reference architectures and deployable patterns for sovereign cloud environments\nDesign lifecycle management, orchestration, and automation capabilities across private, hybrid, and sovereign cloud infrastructures\nPrototype, develop, and validate solutions\nBuild prototypes and proofs of concept to evaluate emerging technologies\nContribute to sovereign platform and DPU technology roadmaps\nDevelop platform components and tooling using Go, Rust, Python, or C/C++\nTransform experimental concepts into validated assets ready for transfer to R&D\nEvaluate hardware/software integration across processors, accelerators, virtualization, containers, and orchestration layers\nMeasure and optimize performance\nBenchmark and optimize platform performance across hardware, virtualization, container, and orchestration layers\nAssess security versus performance trade-offs\nProvide data-driven recommendations to support architectural and product decisions\nLeverage and contribute to open-source ecosystems\nWork with Kubernetes, KVM, QEMU, Kata Containers, Confidential Containers, attestation frameworks, and key management services\nTroubleshoot and improve components across the stack, including Linux system layers when required\nContribute integrations, fixes, and enhancements aligned with platform objectives\nBridge customer needs, hardware innovation, and cloud services\nTranslate low-level security capabilities into consumable platform services\nCollaborate closely with Cloud Distinguished Architects, customer teams, and technology partners\nSupport the definition and prioritization of confidential computing use cases\nInfluence platform roadmaps, product requirements, and technology directions\nEngage internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and validate emerging technologies\nProfile\nExperience\n10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, datacenter technologies, or related domains\nExperience working with R&D, product organizations, partners, and customers to industrialize innovative technologies\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux, containers, cryptography, attestation, secure boot, or secrets management\nExperience with cloud orchestration, infrastructure automation, and systems engineering\nPractical development experience in Go, Rust, Python, or C/C++\nTechnical Skills\nConfidential Computing technologies, Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), and attestation\nHardware root of trust, platform integrity, and secure boot\nSovereign infrastructure technologies including DPUs, trusted silicon, and accelerators\nCloud-native, virtualization, and container technologies\nLinux and systems engineering\nHybrid cloud orchestration and management platforms\nPerformance engineering, benchmarking, and optimization\nOpen-source platforms and collaborative development practices\nLeadership Skills\nLead complex technical initiatives from exploration through industrialization\nTranslate emerging technologies into platform capabilities and architectural guidance\nCommunicate effectively with engineers, customers, partners, and senior stakeholders\nInfluence technical and strategic decisions across multiple organizations\nBuild trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams\nLanguages\nProfessional fluency in English is required.\nFrench is considered a strong plus.\nLocation: Eindhoven, Netherlands, or Remote within the Netherlands\nWhy apply?\nThis is a unique opportunity to work on some of the most advanced technologies shaping the future of sovereign cloud, confidential computing, and AI infrastructure.\nYou will have the chance to influence technology decisions from exploration to industrialization, working closely with customer technical teams, R&D, Product Management, and the CTO Office.
