This role drives new business\nactivity through outreach support, lead follow-up, CRM management, and\ngeneral sales coordination. The position supplements our current\nBusiness Development function and plays a key role in maintaining\npipeline activity, supporting client engagement efforts, and helping CEC\ngrow within the government contracting space. This role is a balanced\nmix of administrative support and business development activity, with\nresponsibilities shifting based on team priorities and business needs.\nKey Responsibilities\n- Maintain accurate records, contacts, and opportunity activity in the\ncompany CRM.\n- Track follow-up actions, outreach status, and prospect activity to\nsupport business development efforts.\n- Support outreach through email follow-up, warm outreach,\nre-engagement of existing contacts, and targeted prospect\ncommunication.\n- Assist with prospect research and identification of potential\nclients, partners, and opportunities.\n- Help manage ongoing business development activity and ensure timely\nfollow-up on leads and contacts.\n- Support internal coordination related to pipeline activity and\nclient-facing business development efforts.\n- Prepare and organize business development materials, correspondence,\nand internal documentation using Microsoft Office tools.\n- Provide general support to the Owner and team in advancing strategic\ngrowth efforts.\n- Assist with additional PMO-related or operational support tasks as\nassigned.\nRequirements\n- U.S. Citizenship required.\n- Three years of relevant experience in sales, business development,\naccount development, inside sales, marketing support, customer\nservice with outreach responsibilities, recruiting, or a related\nfunction.\n- Comfort engaging prospects and contacts through phone, email, and\nfollow-up communication.\n- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.\n- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate data\nrecords.\n- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and\nTeams.\n- Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n- Self-starter with a professional, dependable work style.\n- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a small, growth-focused\ncompany environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\n- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing,\ncommunications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work\nexperience.\n- Experience working in a CRM environment.\n- Exposure to B2B sales or business development processes.\n- Experience supporting account growth, pipeline activity, or client\nrelationship management.\n- Familiarity with government contracting, including SAM.gov, proposal\nsupport, subcontractor outreach, or capture support.\nWhat We Offer\n- Competitive benefits package\n- Medical, dental, and vision coverage\n- 401(k) with company match\n- Paid time off (PTO)\n- Commission/incentive eligibility tied to business development\ncontribution\n- Professional development support\n- Collaborative, mission-driven work environment\nCEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
