In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end\nadministration of a dedicated customer compute cluster. Your primary\nmission is to ensure a highly available, secure, and optimized hardware\nfoundation. By maintaining a robust infrastructure, you will directly\ncontribute to the critical technology integration and performance\nengineering efforts, ensuring a highly reliable platform for integrating\nand executing complex customer workloads.\nKey Responsibilities\n- Cluster Administration: Manage the day-to-day operations of the\ncustomer compute cluster, including Linux operating system\nadministration, hardware monitoring, patching, and system upgrades.\n- Resource and Job Management: Configure, maintain, and optimize\nworkload management and orchestration platforms, utilizing the\nRun:AI job scheduler to ensure efficient distribution of intensive\nAI/ML workloads across the cluster.\n- Infrastructure Optimization: Tune cluster performance at the\nhardware, operating system, and network levels to maximize compute\nefficiency and data throughput for customer workloads.\n- Storage and Network Management: Administer storage solutions and\nhigh-speed networking fabrics. Support the transition to and ongoing\nmanagement of an InfiniBand GPU-to-GPU network infrastructure to\nminimize latency for distributed operations.\n- Environment Configuration: Partner with technology integration teams\nto provision specific environments, dependencies, and container\nplatforms, specifically leveraging Red Hat OpenShift, required for\nseamless customer model deployment.\n- Security and Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure components remain\ncompliant with federal security standards, implementing strict\naccess controls and maintaining system accreditations.\nSkills/Qualifications:\nRequired:\nExperience:\n- Clearance: Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI Poly.\n- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration\nand infrastructure management with a specific focus on\nhigh-performance computing environments.\n- Technical Skills:\n- Expertise in managing bare-metal servers, enterprise storage\narrays, and advanced network configurations (Experience with\nInfiniBand).\n- Strong proficiency with workload managers, job schedulers, and\nAI orchestration tools (e.g., Run:AI, SLURM).\n- Hands-on experience with enterprise container orchestration\nplatforms, specifically OpenShift or Kubernetes.\n- Experience writing automation and configuration scripts (e.g.,\nBash, Python) to streamline cluster maintenance.\n- Troubleshooting Focus: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve\ncomplex hardware, network, and OS-level issues.\nDesired:\n- Familiarity with parallel file systems and high-throughput storage\narchitectures.\n- Prior experience engineering or managing high-speed GPU-to-GPU\ncommunication topologies.\nEducation:\nBachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related
