Prior experience with classified IC\ndissemination platforms, IC information sharing rules, and IC markings\nstandards is expected.\nAbout the Team\nYou will join a high-performing team of Security Engineers supporting a\nlarge, significant program. The team focuses on improving system\nsecurity architecture and strengthening cybersecurity capabilities\nacross operational, test, integration, and development systems while\nsolving complex, mission-critical issues.\nAbout the Environment\nThis is a fast-paced, technically complex program supported by robust\ndevelopment, test, and production environments. The work involves\nsystems with exacting interface, performance, and security requirements,\nincluding support for cross-domain capabilities and Security\nVerification Testing (SVT) of relevant Type 1 devices.\nAbout Our Practices\nThe program executes using Agile practices aligned to the Scaled Agile\nFramework (SAFe) and follows DevOps best practices. Security execution\nis driven by the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including management\nof multiple System Security Plans (SSPs) across development, test, and\nproduction systems. The role also operates within classified\nIntelligence Community (IC) environments and requires familiarity with\nIC information sharing rules and the Intelligence Community Markings\nSystem Register and Manual standards.\nSummary of What You’ll Do\n- Support the introduction of new capabilities into a complex system\nwith stringent interface performance, and security requirements\n- Enhance system security architecture and cybersecurity capabilities\nacross multiple environments (operational, test, integration, and\ndevelopment)\n- Manage RMF-aligned SSPs for development, test, and production\nsystems\n- Manage and support cross-domain capabilities\n- Support SVT activities for relevant Type 1 devices\n- Perform hands-on vulnerability testing and contribute to day-to-day\nsecurity engineering efforts across a wide range of activities\nResponsibilities may include:\n- Define and validate security requirements and establish security\narchitecture and designs for large-scale, geographically distributed\nsystems and interfacing components within a complex network\nenvironment.\n- Ensure end-to-end implementation alignment by working closely with\nSystems Engineering, Test Engineering, and Integration teams so\nhardware and software architecture and implementations meet security\nrequirements.\n- Design and implement security architectures and enterprise security\nsolutions to ensure consistent application of security policy across\nthe environment.\n- Recommend and develop security standards and technical solutions\naligned to current and target security architecture.\n- Assess threats, risks, and operational security posture throughout\nthe system lifecycle, including evaluating the impact of new\ndevelopment and recommending and implementing enhancements.\n- Lead and contribute to security governance activities including\nsecurity planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management,\ncertification support, awareness activities, security control\nassessment, and continuous monitoring and other IA program support\nfunctions.\n- Evaluate, review, and test critical software and identify and\nremediate security issues across the system.\n- Audit and assess security configurations using common methodologies\nand tools, and provide configuration management for\nsecurity-relevant software and system components.\n- Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems\nsecurity policies, standards, and methodologies across distributed\ncomponents.\n- Serve as a security architecture SME, collaborating daily with\ninternal technical experts and providing guidance to Program\nManagers, customer technical POCs, and internal teams on significant\nsecurity issues.\n- Enable secure development practices by working with development\nteams to improve understanding of vulnerabilities, attack vectors,\nand remediation approaches.\n- Participate in SAFe activities, including Program Increment (PI)\nPlanning and related Agile ceremonies.\n- Plan and conduct Security Verification Testing (SVT) for relevant\nType 1 devices.\nRequired Qualifications\n- You must already have an active TS/SCI with a full scope polygraph.\nNo exceptions and no sponsorship available\n- 15 years of relevant experience AND a Master’s degree in related\ndiscipline (e.g. Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information\nAssurance, Information Security System Engineering\n- Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.\n- Strong understanding of security practices and policies, including\nhands-on vulnerability testing using customer tools.\n- Proven experience applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF)\n- Experience formulating, evaluating, and enforcing IT security\npolicies\n- Working knowledge of industry-standard security tools (Nessus, Nmap,\nWireshark), plus practical experience with:\n- Hardware and software security implementations\n- Network and communication protocols\n- Encryption tools and techniques\n- Web services security\n- Experience hardening and securely configuring commonly used desktop\nand server operating systems\n- Ability to work across multiple systems and components at the same\ntime in a variety of configurations\n- Strong written and verbal communication skills\n- Consistent commitment to best practices and process discipline (the\nunglamorous stuff that prevents outages)\n- Ability to plan and prioritize work, clearly explaining technical\noptions and trade-offs\n- Ability to produce high-quality results independently and as part of\na team in a fast-moving environment\nPreferred Qualifications\n- DoD 8570 compliant with IASAE Level II or Level III\n- Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)\ncertification\n- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)\ncertification\n- Five (5) years of experience applying Defense-in-Depth principles\nand technologies, including\n- access control\n- authorization\n- Identification and Authentication\n- public key infrastructure (PKI)\n- network and enterprise security architecture\n- experience applying risk assessment methodologies to system\ndevelopment\n- Experience developing/implementing integrated security services\nmanagement processes, e.g.\n- assessment and audit support for network penetration testing\n- antivirus planning\n- risk analysis\n- incident response\n- Experience providing information-assurance support for application\ndevelopment, including system security certifications and project\nevaluations for firewall solutions encompassing design, development,\nand implementation.\n- Experience with penetration testing tools\n- Experience with scripting
